Filling up while sitting on the bike

I put the kickstand down and stand up with a bike underneath me. On short rides I’ve been doing that for 30 years so I was surprised to learn all these new rules. I’ve never dropped gas on my bike I’m super careful.

Filling up while sitting on the bike

I guess possibility exists if you have a cruiser especially with 4 foot long pipes running the length of the bike. I feel safer on the bike fuelling up I’m inches away from the tank if I stand up I feel I’m disconnected and not so attentive. funny how it is not a law so I’m torn between rules...

Filling up while sitting on the bike

In 30 years this is a new experience for me. I wonder if the industry has mandates to enforce this although it is not a law but I am on private property

Filling up while sitting on the bike

Can you quote the exact part of this website where it states filling up at a gas station and dismounting. It was a shock to hear this today so I just wanna make sure I understand where the enforcement direction comes from. If it’s not a ticketable offence

Filling up while sitting on the bike

I have never heard on CP 24 report a motorcyclist catching on fire in 30 years. It’s not a Ontario law ,my wife said it’s probably a Canadian tire policy

Start hoarding your gas powered motor bike. 2035 is the last possible year for gas powered motorcycles to be sold in Canada.

I think ev’s are less than 5%. We’ll see what happens in battery technology in the next 5 to 10 years. No single mom will ever be able to afford a battery powered car I think that’s the main problem

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

I’m finding the spring prices are easily 1500 bucks higher for liter bikes. I guess that estimation may come down come September. I can’t believe my R1 is worth more than I bought it for six years ago

Start hoarding your gas powered motor bike. 2035 is the last possible year for gas powered motorcycles to be sold in Canada.

There are a few articles about this. Did British Columbia not say 2040 no more gas powered cars. Did the four Japanese motorcycle manufacturers agree on a standardized battery switching system. In 10 years will they have a battery strong enough to go 400 km that’s the only hurdle stopping this...

    Another lockdown=less riding?

More riding the roads are clear I can go to Toronto in an hour. Feels much more safer with less cars so I would say more miles on the bike
