I would guess that H-D would be an easy political target. The mothership has always given us a break on pricing ,kinda like John Deere etc , and it'll be interesting to see how that rolls out. I support the germans myself, but wifey was contemplating trading up her RG special.
My wife and I have bought 3 new bikes from Durham H-D. It was through the Mackies though. New owners had some painful adjustments but have turned the corner. We always buy where we can be assured after sales service and fairness. It's a big dealer, so you know they'll be competitive on price.
Out here east of the big smoke, the limit on 401 is 110 km's now, but most are driving as if there's no longer any speed limit. Kids in mom and dad's lexus or audi are driving Way over their head! Too many close calls to count as the speed differential looks to be 40 or 50 kph. I'm not sure when...
There's a guy here in Cobourg riding an Indian with a batwing fairing. When I'm out with the GS in the winter he's always out also. Half helmet and sometimes has a skeleton on the rear seat. I'd like to meet that guy someday, he's tough!
Good choice, and that's from a GS rider! You'll really enjoy the adv bike. They're so good now you can pretend it's a street bike one day, and a decent off pavement bike the next. Have a blast.
I was waiting eagerly to demo the Suzuki GSX-1000 GT+ today. I got a notice saying things were postponed because the bikes were delayed. I was signed up and ready to go tomorrow, but now they're looking ay July. At least ATC coral were kind enough to let us know.
We rented from Eagle rider, A1 service. They have a handout with a number of suggested routes that we used and it was great for the first time down there. We plan on doing it again soon! One thing to remember though, we stayed on the strip and found getting to our room after a long day was tough...
Yes, welcome to the beemer club! Had a GTL a few years back and loved it. Traded it on a newer RT water cooled . Be prepared for a lot of new tires, all that power is just too tempting. you're going to enjoy that bike!
All new bikes are great, I've rode on many different ones and I've liked them all. Sometimes it boils down to the dealer that you feel good with. You want to make sure warranty work is done etc. I've bought on price alone and have been mad at myself a few seasons down the road when something...
