Im in the same boat as you, in the past I would:
Ask the seller to get it safetied ( I would pay for it of course)
When I was a new rider I would ask an experienced rider to come along with me to give the bike a look-over, and also to possibly transport it on their truck

Making a 30 page thread is mandatory when buying new bikes.
The manufacturers know how much we love cruise control, and only put it on their expensive big machines.
Only exceptions I know of are middle weight BMW GS, tiger sport 660, and maybe guzzi v85?
None of those are exactly cheap either :confused:
Ducati canada was there? I only saw GP with half the floor, and a sad little ducati toronto tent.
Agree that the Honda and the harley tent were the best. You can tell they clearly put in a ton of effort into presentation and customer outreach, some of the others seemed like they didnt want to...
