I feel I haven't had a proper "goodbye-2017" ride yet, and looking at the weather out here... these daily highs of 5 degrees are not too promising to allowing for one more good ride in. But I tend to hold off the winterization till December because November usually has at least one abnormally...
Re: Insurance cost has gone crazy, What insurance co is fair $$ for large cc "R" bik
Allstate is the new State Farm (in terms of rates). What sucks is that I went from a Gixxer 1000 to an Aprilia Tuono but my rate stayed exactly the same. I guess they still consider the Tuono as a supersport...
I'd rather sit on a couch that requires no effort on my part to be stabilized. But that's besides the point. The tech advancements are impressive for sure and there's a big market for bikes like this. Maybe when I'm 60...
Nothing stops you from tracking your bike even with stock fairings. Just tape up your lights and change your coolant to distiller water + water wetter and you're good to go.
Much cheaper to try out the track this way and see how you like it. Take a course, you will learn more in 1 day than in...
For those of you thinking of getting into dirt bikes or enduro, I totally recommend the Yamaha TTR230. It's Yamaha's lesser-known equivalent to Honda's CRF230. Sure it's a beginner-friendly bike, but you'd be surprised to see just what kind of gnarly terrain you can tackle with it - and not to...
Lots of good advice in this thread. I ride ATGATT, and I have fun while trying to be as safe as possible. Life is short - and we never know just how short it is. May as well do what you enjoy doing because the day may come when you cannot do it anymore.
I've been on sport bikes for 10 years and finally also got into dirt bikes this year. Enduro trails, not motocross. I find MX too injury-prone. Having a blast riding in the woods, there's no rules, you can go balls-out as much as your skill and courage will allow you. I wish I found out...
Hey guys, I did a review of this bike, check it out especially if you're considering switching from a super sport to a naked bike.

I did a few back to back lapping days for the first time in 5 years, felt so good to be back on the track.
Here's a clip of the last session:

Thought I would share this clip with you... after a nasty spill and 5 years off from track riding, I get back in the saddle with my 2013 Aprilia Tuono. On the fastest part of the entire Calabogie Motorsports Park - all 5.2kms of it - I nearly headbutted a goose that flew at me out of nowhere...
They are like-new, used for only 2 months this year, I took them off my 2015 GSX-R 1000 before trading in the bike. Makes the bike way more comfortable, reducing weight on your wrists and lower back. Looks completely stock, yet gives you the comfort of a sport touring bike.
