So I’ve got a 01 Yamaha 1100, and I changed my oil as well as pulled the left engine case off. As I needed to replace the gasket due to oil leaking and ever since I’ve put it back together the bike won’t turn over nor will it even start now …. I’ve checked fuses and nothing I’m at a loss right now and unsure what to do

Anyone able to help

Engine kill switch on?, sidestand safety switch not sticking and switch plugged in(probably by the stand). Clutch lever safety switch functioning? How`s the ignition switch, making contact? wiggle the key a bit to see how it is. Any chance you pinched some wires putting the case together? Battery connections tight?

All fuses are good I can hear starter relay clicking lights on dash come on yes

I’ve tried pulling the clutch in and also trying in neutral I’ve tried with kickstand up and down and just still nothing

When I has the starter out earlier I crank it and it spun lickidy split

So when I just checked the battery with my volt metre I’m at 12.79 when it off and then with key on and I try to start (hit the start button) it drops to 6-7volts

Should be enough juice in it to bump start. Get someone to push you at a fast clip, put it in second gear and stand on the pegs and come down on the seat hard while releasing the clutch. How old is the battery, cheap replacements don`t last long. I`d say battery, buy the best you can afford.

Battery was in the bike when I bought it like month ago tops. It has a yusa battery

You say your bike is a 2001? Do you personally know how old the battery was?

Just because it was in the bike at the shop when you bought it a month ago doesn't mean the shop put a new battery in.

Yuasa batteries die just like any other batteries. They don't last forever.

lol. I I haven’t got a clue but I’m just saying that’s it’s a yusa battery and that I have no clue how long it been in the bike for nor can I see a manufacturer date or anything in it really
