Crowsfoot slaps Camp31 silly, just like Smergy does us at the track.
well..it was either a misinterpretation on some peoples part or I should have been more clear. I live at 401/404, i'm out of the city in 5 minutes, depending on how you quantify 'city'.
it's 2-2.5hrs to what i would call nice roads.
I haven’t been to Crowsfoot yet, but I know someone who works there and he stands by their food. (As you would expect)

Food is excellent. As much as I like a proper smoked brisket (and these guys do a solid job) I don’t know if I would pay for it from them again. Why? Brisket portions are tiny. Like half the size of other meat portions.
Otherwise, I’d suggest we all chip in $15 and have Smergy take a day off work and smoke one for us. ;-)
Oh boy, would I ever like to start a "city vs. country life" thread. Having lived in places ranging from farmland Ontario to Toronto, I'd have a lot of input. But it would be best if I kept my mouth shut.
Why? Everyone has an opinion, and who cares if people don’t agree with you. Besides, having an opinion only becomes a problem if you have the attitude of “this is what I think and you’re stupid/wrong/inferior for thinking otherwise!”
I don't think you've seen the price of brisket lately....

According to Wikipedia, Saint Marys...
was laid out in 1844, and contains about 120 inhabitants. There is an excellent limestone quarry close to the village. Professions and Trades.—One grist mill, one saw mill, one physician and surgeon, two asheries, three stores, one tavern, one shoemaker, one tailor, one cooper, one blacksmith
I heard they now have 2 blacksmiths.
It’s also the home to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.

FYI, there may be a freight train running through that area in the afternoon - FB group "GTA Motorcycle Riders" is heading out of Bolton at 1pm for their season opener, which attracts over 100 riders, and they usually hit Hockley and the Forks. The route will be on Scenic but not sure if they're posting the QR code online or in person:
