How much of the riding you do is "spirited/up pace?

Maybe try skydiving for the speed rush?!? But, as ZX pointed out, I don't know, since I haven't tried it. Haven't tried putting my head in a running blast furnace either, but still I don't think that I'd like it.

I actually went skydiving in November down in Cuba. It was an awesome experience but not something i care to do on a regular bases.

I think track riding relates more to riding twisty mountain / canyon roads then the typical riding that gets done in the GTA. Not sure how one would benefit there... Are on/off ramps really that challenging that you need track school?

Contrary to what you might believe there are a small amount of goats that roam fields outside of that cluster **** of misery.

Plus you've been riding dirt for a very long time so that should provide somewhat of a buffer in case you get into a prang.

Prang? Battle Of Britain fighter pilot slang in 2016 would suggest time-travel. Hurricane or Spitfire? Or did you annoy your squadron leader and get relegated to a Blenheim wing? Regardless, I bet that was totally wizard.

Nothing so glamorous I'm afraid. Picked out "prang" from an otherwise indecipherable limerick passing from the lips of an Ulsterman at the annual sausage fest called IMS probably extolling the virtues of the Norton Road Holder fork. I put "prang" into my back pocket knowing sooner or later I'll get a chance to lay it on an Eastern Ont. goat herder. Sorry you got caught in the melee.

It seems the norm for newer riders, after a couple years you ride within limits but pushing the bike on certain empty roads/ when your hitting the twistys.

This.
There is a time and place for everything. If you want to ride 'spirited', make sure you're out of the city, preferably in farm country, no blind corners or driveways and have some fun!

I think that guy was doing 800mph. Haven't you been advised to keep posts relevant?

He was riding quite spiritedly at the time. Now he's only riding as a spirit, assuming some higher power hasn't permanently revoked his spirit license too.

You missed the part of my post where I said there's a time and place. 11:00pm is not the time for spirited riding on back country roads. Especially when they are described as:

"“I know those roads, they can be dangerous at night. That’s why I told him to call me,” said Ashby, 29, a close friend of Rivet’s since high school."

That really is some superlative gloating over a dead person, but we're trying to advise a living one here. Maybe you have a problem with goats? #inrebrules

Yup I'm still kicking, have no plans to leave early.

Put griff2 on your ignore list. Half of his posts are level ******* and the other half is non-sense.

I didn't know Clayton nor endorse his riding style but it should be common respect to not piss all over a dead person.

Yeah I chose to skip that one. I don't think anyone that takes the chances we do everyday should be having a laugh at the expense of someone else's demise.

That's just my opinion.

There's really simple ways of minimizing those chances. Pretty sure that's what griff was getting at in a roundabout way.

I just meant riding a bike on public roads in general is a chance in itself.

There's a way to say things without inciting readers. If the intention was to incite, then success.

If the intention wasn't, then ****** social skills.

Either way, block.

Not gloating. Just shaking my head at the mentality.

EDIT - Every one of those racer-wannabees who expired out on the roads probably thought it was an appropriate time and place. Not one of them thought that it was not a good time and place, or that they would end their lives by stupid misadventure in what they thought was an appropriate time and place.

I mean really, who goes out intending to die? You people advocating that reckless speeds are ok if only you find an "appropriate time and place" are just one miscalculation away from joining the other fools who have gone down before you, as are the fools who listen to your advice.
