Motorcycle cop pulls over distracted/cell phone using drivers!

Keyboard warrior. I bet when pulled over you are the first to say yes sir no sir. I highly doubt you troll the officer as you have attempted here. I smell a troll in an idiots clothing..lol

I'm pretty sure you just told an ex-cop that he "don't know sh!t".
And it's "fo sho", just sayin'
Otherwise, very entertaining thread. Please, carry on.

How did I miss this?

The rebel inside of me wants to buy a Hyosung and place a phone call in traffic. Need bigger cajones tho.

Should be spending more time holding the steering wheel crucial to the driving experience rather than other things that are not ? Besides, why hold the phone at all if you know you can't use it? Is it sort of like Linus and his security blanket?

True enough. My point was that just holding a phone for whatever reason(passing to passenger maybe) can get you a ticket....but if you were holding an apple (not a iproduct, a real one) and eating it you would be fine....or has that changed too?

It's starred on purpose. You can fill in your own blanks with your phone at a red light. Oh and I'd venture to say Hedo knows about 289739457836487569023826758 times what you do. Try reading one day and you might learn something.

To be honest if you were just passing the phone to a passenger and get caught because you didn't see the cop..well I would say you were distracted and not aware of your surroundings.

Maybe sunny can lend you his when he's finished slapping boys in the face with his hoo hoo :dontknow:

me ah no wantay ME AH NO WANTEY!! (that's an inside joke, I just wanted to see it on screen they say internet is forever ok n/m carry on)

You presume to think that hedo knows how i would act and do act around police.... why is there so much stupidness on here?

Never let 'em see you sweat.

No I presume to know you said hedo don't know **** and I'll bet a large sum he knows riding and the law a lot more than you do bruh

Clearly we need to call the pigs at TPS and tell them to NOT run the motorcycle safety and awareness campaign they are kicking off today, (which is intended to correct driving habits which put us riders at risk). They need to be doing much more important things than increasing awareness and issuing silly little distracted driving campaigns.

Riceburner: To answer your question, will holding an apple, (not iproduct version) get you ticket or has that changed). No it hasn't changed it can get you charge of distracted driving same as can drinking a coffee, doing makeup, or any other "activity" that causes you to remove your focus behind the wheel from driving alone. It is just that the "distracted driving law" specifically targets holding electronics to a greater degree. Back before the distracted driving law came into effect it normally resulted in a charge of careless driving, or in "extreme" cases dangerous driving.

We as riders in general are constantly complaining, (with good cause and reason), about cagers using their phones and being distracted and almost taking us out. Then we see an officer being "proactive" on this issue and a select few feel it should not be looked at. regardless of weather the vehicle is moving or stopped the driver is still distracted.

Someone posted up an old thread a couple of days ago about a rider who lost his leg when an SUV suddenly pulled into the intersection after "thinking" she had a green light because someone honked and without looking at the light she went. In retrospect, it could be concluded that she may have been on her cell at that light and wasn't paying attention and when she heard the honk just went. She just dropped the phone and hit the gas. So our friend here is right F the pigs let's have a free for all... hopefully he isn't a victim of one of those "poor innocent souls" just checking their emails at a red light. I am sure they ALL didn't touch their phones until the car was completely stopped and put it away when the opposing signal turned yellow so they could focus on their driving.

For those of us with some level of intelligence and self preservation... Ride safe.

Yeah you're clearly much more educated than the rest of us. Eff da pigs yo.
Sorry for being an ahole. I meant to say that you missed my point. I agree with the safety aspect and also understand the danger distracted drivers pose. I just dont agree with being ticketed at red lights for answering a text.. some people dont have fancy bluetooth cars that can connect to their phones...hell my bluetooth on my phone doesn't even work.. and need a means of being able to communicate in safe situations to people. Just as with everything there are grey areas. And i strongly disagree that ticketing at red lights is ok. Just like i strongly disagree that speed traps are an effective way (and moral way) of stopping speeding.. especially when there are better things they could be doing with their time (other than making 6 figures)
