250 Ninja prices? '08-'12

Hey guys, early next year hopefullyI'm looking to buy a 250 ninja, trying to buy off season for a bit of a haggle if I can.

I see some pretty crazy prices on kijiji in my area, and I was wondering what a fair price you guys thought would be for this? I've seen some posts on here talking about how high some people are asking.

I love the white special edition, which a Stealership has for 4200 a town over from me. Any opinions are appreciated :)

stay safe

In all seriousness, depends on year, condition, etc. I'd say decent condition, under 15k km's, etc be like $4g's topend? Just a guess.

Don't pay anymore than 4000 for a mint condition 12, you might be able to find a not so mint 08-09 in the 2800-3000 range...Get the cheapest one you can find.

I think there's a few guys here selling the white ones, msg them and see what they say...If they're asking too much they probably won't sell so msg them again when you're ready to buy. NO way in hell should you pay a penny more than 4 Gs, and that if its mint and less than 5000 km's give or take...

To all the guys with stupidly priced 250's, we're not here to pay you for breaking it in and covering your admin fees/pdi as much as you always try and pull that excuse. Its your fault for buying a brand new vehicle when just about everyone knows they depreciate right when they roll of the lot and then trying to sell it less than a year later.

Price varies from mileage and conditions. I recently sold my 250 around $3000 plus delivery & safety. I think that's a pretty good deal.

With the Honda 250 and Kawi 300 pouring into the used market, I wouldn't pay more $3600 for any 250.

Careful when buying bike during off season (Winter) because you need to transport it, get it safety, etc. You might not save as much as you think. Price tends to come down around October and November where you can still ride it home and get safety done.

What if the bike has mods? e.g. Pazzo leavers, tb ehxuast, puig windshield, etc.

Sorry to plug/hijack this thread, but in a few days I'll have a 2008 Ninja 250 with about 30k on it for sale for $3300. I think that's a fair price, but in order to get what we want for it, I might list for more, but who knows.

PM me if you're interested - I haven't taken any pictures or posted it anywhere - the insurance policy is getting cancelled today :(

Unless it something performance related like an upgraded suspension, jet kit, FI conversion or full exhaust I could give a **** less...

What if levers are shorty's and you prefer long, puig double bubble looks ok the other ones, retarded. TB sounds like **** on the 250...If I were to buy that bike unless it came with stock parts I'd have to pay extra to have it back to how I want.

General idea is that mods don't elevate the price, but it helps sell faster over the stock ones. That is the perspective of buyers at least lol

This ^^^

It's just a Ninja 250. You won't keep it for life. Aside from the cosmetics, pretty much all of them will me more or less the same.

I sold mine (2009 stock) as is for $2500 @ 46k kms, which had $1500 of dealership service done a few months before the sale.

OP do not but this bike!! I bought mine three years ago for $3600 with 4000kms. Deals are out there, all 250 sellers hope to find a noob to make a solid profit out of. Based on year, condition, mileage etc and like someone said....the Honda 250 and the 300 hitting the market too, I'd be very careful not to rush it. Someone will sell for a reasonable price. Keep posting here or PM me if you want my opinions on pricing for specific bikes you look at. Good luck shopping.

i got mine 08, very good condition about 17k for 3k
i'd say it ranges from around 2800 dropped, around 3500 for not dropped to about 4500 for the '12 special editions

One of the many things I love about this community is how helpful everyone is, thank you very much for all your insight guys :)
I can see the price perhaps dropping a little bit over the year aswell with the new 300's, again; thank you all!

I bought a new 2012 a few months ago for $4k with a 2-year warranty... Don't overpay for a used one.

Take this into consideration...

Bought mine brand new in march. 2012 version for 4k plus tax.

Don't ever pay more than 4 for a used one.

Lol, I don't think a new rider would even be able to tell if they're cheap knockoffs or not. I'm sure some seasoned riders are in the same position as well.

Like someone said before, 2012's were going for $4000 from the dealership brand new so there should be no reason why you would be buying a stock one for $4000 especially pre-2012.

You will find some newer ninjas going for around $3000 in decent condition but they're usually sold within the day. Keep an eye on online ads :P

It's nice to kind of see a pattern here with pricing, I think it's safe to say I'm not stepping over 4k now ;) which leaves me plenty for the proper gear, etc.
So basically the 2011 White SE in the town across from me is full of it? 4200 and taxes, not happening haha.

My uncle sells cars for a living. All dealers are the same..... You gotta lay it down, no administration fees no extra nothing. Make a reasonable offer and see what they say

LOL Thanks! Maybe you can come see the bike and help us price it to sell, then.
