where do you buy your fuel stabilizer? cheapest i have found at cdntire for $6.99, that's quite expensive, anyone know of a cheaper place?

are all brands the same? Sta-bil, motomaster, lucas?

I found this about Sta-bil which is what I use from CT. Not sure if Lucas would be the same?

If the product has turned to av ery dark red (or brown) color, we recommend purchasing a new bottle. It will not harm anything if you use an old bottle of STA-BIL, it just may not be as effective. "

+1. Not spending the 7 bucks could cause you far more headaches and cost more than that. Buy the fuel stabilizer then don't think about it anymore.
$7 is expensive?! I can think of a lot more things I waste $7 that are far less productive!
But I did accidentally buy a bottle of Sta-Bill not knowing it will clean 300L worth. If anyone wants to ride their bike to me at South Scarbs to dribble in some into your tank before you winter storage, come on my by.
of course it is, when you know how much it cost to make them.
i just bought the motomaster one 250ml from cdntire for $7.99 for 250ml!!
the other one i think is total rip off is engine ice, $20 for 2L of water+antifreeze

you dont study the product you are buying anyway, why would you care where your money goes.

$1 is not expensive, but if $1 buys you a bottle of water out from those 2.99 24pack nestle water(like in gas station), would you say is expensive now?
is not about the actual amount, is the cost for making them/how much profit vs what you pay.

Nope, not rude you have an opinion and you are entitled to it. Just as others are entitled to theirs. Personally I don't think profit is a bad word and I believe it is the corner stone to good business. Throw away your calculator and figure out how much profit is earned on zero dollars. I bet you can do that all day.
Now let me teach you something. Contrary to what you may believe, a cost of a product had less to do with how much profit will be made and more with how much the market will bear for said product. If no one separates with their money for a product then it is either useless, not competitively priced or has an alternate offering that, when compared, puts it off the radar of the prospective buyer.
You have every right to be an informed consumer. With the internet, the information is right at your finger tips but you always have to remember what is right for you may be wrong for somebody else. Judge less and live more.
Your water bottle analogy could be translated into the formula for a more reasonable cost for fuel stabilizer too, you might just have to buy a truck load to get it to where you want it though
For KTM's add red bull to the stabilizer.
