.... but the models said... seriously, we really got a handle on this; the models are fine tuned and decades in the making; trust us

To anyone who really pays attention, ridiculous predictions proving to be unfounded are a yearly occurrence. TBH, it's not often a MSM outlet calls them on it. Good for them.

Yep, Toronto is sadly full of partisan idiots and young voters with no comprehension/memory of what happened in the previous 10 years of Liberal leadership.
Oh because Hudak was such a compelling alternative. I didn't want to vote Wynne despite being a liberal voter but not one party offered a candidate / platform that wasn't worse...

I would guess a lot of voters that went with Wynn because Hudak just wasnt 'the guy' are quietly asking themselves how much worse would he have been.....

Reminds me of the conserve mantra with hydro . We conserved and the price of hydro still went thru the roof. I think its a scam !!!!!!

As if the goddamn platforms mean diddly squat in reality! The voters needed to send a message to the liberals and they did - keep lying and cheating us out of money, we don't mind.

What a joke. The only way to hold these people accountable is by voting them out of office and we keep failing to do it, because of partisan BS.

Its part and parcel of the Globalist view on pollution control and acting upon there initiative. The problem is some countries like china will not enforce the initiative allowing all of there pollution to flow through the natural airways into our countries atmosphere.

Yes, a couple years ago. There was a scandal where the new hydro meters were inaccurate & could cost you more. Surprise surprise!

Guessing you may have work in the civil sector...

Hudak was worse because he told the truth. What's the lesson? You want to win; blow smoke up the voters you know what.

Hudak did the math for the main plank of his platform, the 1,000,000 jobs plan on the back of a napkin. His numbers didn't add up, he double-counted jobs, and in general was off by a mile.

http://www.macleans.ca/politics/the-elementary-school-math-error-in-hudaks-million-jobs-plan/

If we can't trust him to not make a simple mistake in his platform, why should we trust him to be a good steward of the economy?

I have no love for Kathleen Wynne, but given the available options at the time she was the least worst.

And no, I do not work in the public sector.

I think you're over-represent what the leader's actually do in the party.. On both counts lol

The leader is broadly representative of the party. Let me rephrase for you. Substitute "the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario" for "him" and nothing about my statement changes. Except maybe for the worse, since a team of specialists either made an elementary mistake, or deliberately intended to mislead voters.

Does this new found rationale of yours work both ways? Because I'm happy to blame the Liberal party as a whole for this 300 billion dollar hole we're in. 12 billion a year in interest on that baby.. and you think the housing market will have trouble absorbing an interest rate hike haha... oh baby.

I stand by my statement. Hudak, he was honest in his assessment of what needed to be done. That in itself was unpopular enough it risked losing the election by simply saying it. They were also honest enough to release their plan in detail in an effort to be transparent (a theme lacking in most government) and the fact that they released it, and it wasn't leaked, puts your little "deliberate intent to deceive" hypothesis in the toilet. It's to bad someone behind the scenes dropped the ball, we needed the change (and less actual deceit); the last few years have set that in stone..

At least someone has actually admitted to voting for Wynne around here. Thanks for that.. haha

So giesen, are you?

I am curious to see if you can bring to light, ONE SINGLE POLITICIAN who hasn't spouted lies out the yin-yang in order to be elected.
Politicians are as a whole, lying thieves who will say whatever they need to get elected. Once they're elected, those promises are about as solid as vapour-ware.

If ANYONE else promoted lies the way that politicians do, we would be in jail for fraud. Plain and simple.

Politicians need to be held accountable for their promises and lies. Until that happens, our system will be broken without hope...

Saw a guy on a Sportster like yours on the 2nd Concession near Lynden. Was that somebody else?

Wasn't me. I was out Fort Erie way. Was thinking of heading out your way but got distracted. Lol.

Like I said, more than any other factor, the election was lost on the honest assessment that 100,000 people in government jobs would have to go; had he lied and said "I can cut taxes, reduce deficit AND save your jobs" maybe we'd be talking about PC broken promises instead..... In sort, I agree, they lie and we don't punish them for it.. That's how the Libs got re-elected no?

Speaking of promises, our 15% savings on insurance at work... sad story

harper & co were out to lunch with the electorate, end of story, out with the old, in with the new

a campaign mainly based on mockery & ridicule ..duhh, is not only as lame as you can go but also backfired right in their faces,

they might as well have handed it to petII
