Why not go full bore? My bandit 1200 was amazingly cheap to insure.

Mainly I don't want the insurance increase. I have even considered going down to a cbr500r or cbr250r. I know everyone will say I will hate the power differece or what ever but my second 2 wheeled vehicle is a Kymco Super9 LC 50cc scooter. Lots of time to find a nice bike. I could also start the 1980 SR250G scrambler/ cafe project finally. Fixed up and sold the first three projects. Still working on the ATV. My inspiration is this bike.

I hear you there. When I bought my last bike I was looking at several litre bikes, decided on the versys 650, ticks all the boxes for me and is cheap to insure so I can finally afford to insure two. Hello drz!

lol I'm afraid just about any 22 year old Italian runs the risk of being a high maintenance *****

"1996 900SS. Good condition, recent belt service and oil change 41MM Keihin carbs, rear sets, brand new tires, strong runner. Would make a fantastic classic daily driver or the starting point for a vintage racer."

Not really sure if this is or is not a good price. Love the look and style. Fear the long term costs.

Is an OK price.
The air cooled Ducati motors date back to Fabio Taglioni, in the sixties. They're more or less bullet proof.
... the electrics however.....

multi strada 620 2006. Not sure if this reasonable or good $4500. Take off the saddlebags and its a nice looking bike. EDIT The more I look at this, the more I like it..

Nice bike but it that really a "deal"? . I like inline 4s and that is nicely tricked out but in it's 11th year and without ABS.

Seems the CBF1000 2009 posted earlier is much better value.

I actually think the 2007 is correctly priced at $3k and the 2009 CBF is under priced.

It's "reasonably priced" imo, title of the thread.
