Kinda hard to walk back the ad. If I was dumb enough to buy one of his lids, and had an incident that caused personal injury I'd sue his *ss off.

I agree. I would also (if I survived with that cheapo helmet), because that's me.

Not really his problem it is up to you to make sure what you are using is legal. You can buy lots of things that are illegal when used but not to possess like plate covers.
