I love ARs, just can't live with the status.
When that kinda money buys an XCR or a converted ACR, or Swiss Arms, in glorious non restricted status, its hard to see the appeal

No thats not what I said. I said it occurred due incompetence not as some conspiracy to push Bill C-51 however I would say thats the push for more power existed prior to the event and was helped along by the event. But if it wasn't that event it would have been something else.

I'm all in for under $4k on all of the builds together including optics.
Careful shopping and deal hunting ftw!
I also have many NR fun toys to play, with and considering I only shoot at ranges, and I don't hunt the R status doesn't really matter much.
...my NR savage precision rifle build cost almost as much as all my AR's combined! Haha

Best gift! To me from me! Delivered on the 24th just in time for Xmas. New project 9mm AR pistol, not pictured but I got a Seekins Precision billet AR lower also
Cant wait to test it out, just waiting on a barrel and bolt tracking shows delivery tomorrow.

I assume you all know of this. I signed even though I don't have high hopes, but if you dont try you don't get anywhere. It could at least start a dialog.

I got two non gun owners to sign. I figured out how to win people over. Take them for a trap shoot!
It's all you can do really. Better to make some sort of voice then be swept entirely under the rug. I haven't been shooting very long at all, but it seems that from what I've seen the shooting community seems rather complacent to just complain in forums but do nothing to TRY to make some changes.

If anyone thinks for a second that ANYTHING favourable to gun owners will happen in the next 5+ years, you're smoking crack. Its pretty obvious that the propaganda machine is about to go into 6th gear, and the agenda is going to be sweeping reclassifications of all manners of firearms into R or prohibited status.
They won't need to bring back a long gun registry, they'll just classify most semi automatic guns as restricted.

Propaganda... may be... but there is truth in the article. You can buy books with step by step instructions, including machine drawings and etc, for various rifles.... and I understand that some of them a fairly easy conversions.
I don't agree with people doing it... but I may have seen a few over the years.

But people generally arn't doing it and if you can use machine drawings to make a gun full auto you can make a full auto gun from scratch anyway. Additionally criminals arn't genrally using full autos to commit crimes. Its illegal to do do the conversions and it should be but using it as an excuse to Ban a wide sway sami-auto's is fixing a problem that does not exist.
