What did you do to your Race/Track Bike today - 2014

Room on the brake side bar is real limited. When the time comes and I'm ready to go racing, I'll find another solution. In the mean time it's for sale. $70 takes it!
I have the exact same set up and it works fine. 06 GSXR600. What clipons do you have? Are the grips longer than normal? The Woodcraft holds up well in low sides and adds some protection. Looking at your photo, mine is definitely further in on the bar. Doesn't interfere with the grip/throttle either.

Kill switch has to be moved to the other bar for that style to work in my experience.

Either that or a guard that replaces the bar end.

I have Woodcraft clipons but I think the Motion Pro revolver kit contributes to the issue more than anything else:

Had the exact issue last April. Had to move kill switch to the left bar (doesn't work with vortex either btw) to make room for the MP throttle. Works but it's awkward and for some reason I hit the switch on track. Not so good. Duct tape over switch was my solution, acts as a guard but can still access it if need be.

A bike is about half on the bar half on the bar end. B bike doesn't even have a bar end and is all on the bar

I guess I was lucky that I could just slide the WC bar out far enough to make room for the lever guard. I *really* prefer the WC style lever guard to the type that inserts into the bar end. The WC ones are much more resistant to rotating out of position. Also, I was using one of the "insert" types last year. It got torn out in a crash, exposing the unprotected end of the handlebar tube, which then shredded the end of my middle finger as it squashed it against the ground, necessitating a partial amputation.

With the WC setup even if the lever guard gets torn off there is no torque on the bar end plug itself, so the plastic plug may stay in and the end of the handlebar then doesn't become a finger shredder. I honestly believe that I would still have 10 complete fingers if I had had the WC lever guard (or Dion device) installed when I had my accident.

Finished touch-ups on the fibreglass, sanded, drilled, painted, and back together. All I need now is to fit the Ladybird reservoir stay and get some numbers for the tail. Oh, and as you can see I'm going Pro this year. I found out that it's easy to go Pro. All I had to do was peel off the red numbers to reveal the black backing. LOL ;)

Thanks! Yeah, it was a fairly substantial restoration. Luckily it only cost me about $500 not counting the new Brembo (the OEM master cylinder wasn't damaged, I just don't like it) and I haven't replaced the bent EBC rotor.

But yet you still have those ugly blinkers on the best bike in that garage :booty:

LOL.... just on the front. I haven't found any aftermarket ones that I like. Actually there are some Watson LED signals but they're something crazy like $130.

Installed these magnets on the front calipers - Can only do one side of one caliper a night so this is taking a while but one side is done. Also expensive as each is just under $3 and it needs 20.

I couldn't pass you on the brakes before, now you just made it worse :) You'll like the brembo.
