And what's with all the low ballers responding with "cash in hand"? Is that supposed to impress me? Did they think I was going to offer financing? Did they think I was going to trade for their old Duplo set?
And another thing, if someone offers a part for free to help you out (I'm not talking about hauling away their garbage, but an actual useful part), don't waste their time with requests for needless photos (a spring is a spring, a good fuel pump looks like a good fuel pump) or fail to show up after arranging for pick up. Congratulations, it's a bigger hassle to deal with you then to throw the part in the garbage, and equally profitable.
One more thing...If someone is selling a part which is available locally for viewing, please don't e-mail them a link to a single E-Bay ad somewhere in South Carolina for a similar part which is 10% cheaper and ask for a price match. I would gladly pay a few dollars more for the opportunity to view and inspect a wheel or gas tank prior to purchase, not to mention the savings in shipping.
