Started trip at 8:30 am May 25
8 degrees and sunny
Light traffic both days
First night in Pembroke at an Airbnb ($61.00)
Gased up in Golden Lake and gas did not smell fresh but bike ran OK.
Filled up next morning in Pembroke and bike ran better.
Friday was warmer and sunny with light traffic.
Passed thru Bulgers Corner "blinked and missed it".
Gassed up in Perth.
Narrows Lock Road north of the lock was a fun section

Hi there,

I’m from Kingston too. I don’t know if you’ve been on those roads before but the route from Bancroft via Denbigh then down past Bon Echo to Kaladar is a bit nicer with twistier roads and better views than Bancroft to Madoc.

I have done both routes and only passing thru Madoc to make it better for someone from Toronto to join me.
Will probably change my route if riding alone.

Looks like the next window of opportunity will be May 30 - 31.
Will post update closer to actual date.
Will be doing day rides in Kingston area between now and confirmed dates.

I usually do a long loop through Algonquin park from Kingston in the summer for a day trip. Stops in Tamworth, Bancroft, halfway through the park at the campsite cafe, then one more before returning to Kingston (usually Madoc at 62/highway 7). Long day but the views are nice. I’ll post up when I go. Usually a Wed/Thurs or Fri.

Other long day trips are to Old Forge and back through Fort Drum at the start of the Adirondacks once Horn’s ferry is running from Wolf Island.

I try to keep my trips under 400km per day.
Looking at this trip over 3 days (see pic)
Only 900km so may modify it a bit longer
I have done the Old Forge route & most ovf the Adirondacks in the past and this is some new roads.

What's the little grey box situation attached to the handlebars?

It is a plastic electrical box that holds my iPad mini that I use as a navigation device.
I use Maps.me to "play" the map (first picture)
It runs on the offline GPS chip.
An arrow sits in the middle of the screen and the map moves under it.
The map is scalable. It can show somewhere between the whole map or scale up to individual houses on a street.
For boring hyways like the 401 I can always lock the throttleand watch a movie.
Unfortunately I am like Tesla owners who are still waiting for the software update for Full Self Driving mode.
