Recommendations for an OEM rear shock rebuild.

Looking to get my '08 OEM R1 rear shock rebuilt. Is Accelerated Technologies a good choice?

John knows his stuff. I would ask him. Given the cost to rebuild, he may advise starting from a better part (or not).

From what I've read/heard, Accelerated Technologies is one of the best around in our region. They will be switching my forks to adjustable cartridges early April. Price seems pretty good from the get go. Downside is how far they are.

Your money would be a lot better spent on a new aftermarket shock.
Maxton is cheap right now.

Ok thanks for the info. AT was the only one that came up in a Canadian search besides a place in Halifax. I'll look at Maxon but iirc they're UK based.

Reason I asked is that my son's Versys shock is leaking, the '08 R1 shock is a relativey easy upgrade for it and there's a local selling his for $50.
