If all goes according to plan - late July to early August would be nice. The fall colours rides down there in early October are pretty sweet too.

It sure does get hot at the lower elevations and when it’s sunny out. Up at the higher elevations it’s really comfortable. Last time I was there in July, I wore a good quality mesh suit and it was great. I’m looking to buy a Klim Baja S4 suit pretty soon just for the hot weather riding like this.

And I’ll always ride there and back as long as I’m physically able and have a bike that can do it. The roads getting to and from are what it’s all about.
