Hey all. So after watching and reading a BAZILLION reviews online, I've narrowed my search for a new a helmet down to the Schuberth C3 pro and the Shoei Neotec. I'm leaning heavily towards the Schuberth because they are reportedly the quietest helmet on the market and wind noise is my #1 complaint on a bike. However, I currently have a Shoei TZR and have been very happy with the fit and comfort of the helmet. I can easily swing into GP Bikes (its on my way to work) and try on the Shoei, but the nearest place to try a Schuberth is in Toronto somewhere. This country mouse would prefer to not head into Toronto if at all possible.
I keep reading that Revzilla and Fort9 have free shipping on orders over $49, no restocking fee and returns are just $7. According to the little blurb on their websites I can order a new helmet, try it on in my living room for a while and see if it's comfortable. If I don't like it, I can apparently return the helmet to them no questions asked as long as I haven't removed any of the tags etc or taken it for a ride. Have any of you done this? Does it work as easily as they say? I ask because I tried to return a helmet to a bricks and mortar store once and even though it had all the tags etc, they would not take it back saying that I could have dropped it blah blah blah.
Before I drop $900+ on a new lid I'd like to hear from some of you who've both ordered a helmet from one of these sites but more importantly RETURNED a helmet to one of these sites! I don't want to find out I'm stuck with a helmet that turns out to not be comfortable.
