Marc Marquez is a Little Prick

I thought Rossi kicked MM too when I first watched it. From the helo shot you can see MM crashing before Rossi's leg goes out. MM hit his leg.

Not the first time he's hit the back of Rossi's leg this season :/

... three by my recollection... all Rossi's fault by Marc's

So wait. I'm not getting this at all. Is it that fans of the guy who came in third are mad,
that the guy in second didn't slow down to let him beat him?

Or they're mad that he didn't speed up and come in first?

I'd watch it, but watching motorcycle racing is like watching tennis, or golf, or paint dry, for me.

It's because it appears as though MM wasn't trying very hard and maybe even blocking for JL to keep DP behind.

Based on their lap times it's feasible that both Hondas could have passed JL which would have resulted in Rossi winning the championship.

You have to go back to race 15 to see the whole scope of this drama. You can clearly see MM blocking VR as VR stated before race 17. I was starting to think this whole thing was choreographed, as well, motogp hasn't exactly been thrilling the last few years. Hollywood couldn't have written a better script. Think of the ratings for Race 18. Every sports fan, rider or not, probably watched. As the announcers said "this is the motosport event of the year." But even they sounded scripted when JL crossed the line. They are usually more quick to vocalize and are truthful of what they see...but they weren't and they didn't. This was the perfect storm. The perfect crime... one you can't get penalized for... which effectively ruins the sport. For those that need a recap:

Never was a Valentino Rossi fan... until now. He deserves to go down in history as the greatest motorcycle racer there ever was. He was telling the truth all along. JL may lose his job at Yamaha over this (said by yamaha boss). MM deserves to be renamed "little prick" and haunted by this name for the rest of his career. I hope this thread goes global on the zeitgeist as many GTAM threads do. And I hope his people find it and the name "Little Prick" sticks. He has many years ahead of being punted off his honda by riders who know the truth. Have a look at those four races and be your own judge.

Once MM had been eliminated from the championship the commentary said over and over that from there on out he's racing for wins. We all expected to see a more aggressive MM since points don't matter, he's racing for wins. Now after Valencia he said that after several DNFs this year he just wanted to finish. Doesn't add up.

And then there is this.... This is maybe the most obvious thing.

At a track like Valencia, if you're MM and you're this close to JL coming into the last corner you would try a block pass up the inside. At Valencia, on the last lap, if you're that close, that's what you do................

As seen in this screen capture MM wasn't even looking up the inside, he wasn't even considering a look up the inside.

I love the quality arguments/points that come from the "nothing unusual happened" crowd.
Well, it does seem a little far-fetched. You're saying that a guy hasn't really wanted to win all season long, just prevent another racer from beating someone else. Unless the guy is independently wealthy, how could he afford to do that?

C'mon, he a 22 yr old kid with a signed contract, out of the championship...isn't too far fetched to think he's mess with someone he perceives as ruining his championship chances and in the same boat helps out a similar nationality. How strong are football fans loyalties in the World Cup?

Wasn't all season long, just the last 3 races. If you believe Rossi's version of events (which I do) Marquez felt as though Rossi cost him a shot at the title this year after 2 races in which they had contact on the last lap. Both times, Marquez, the most agressive rider in MotoGP hit Rossi near the back of his leg. Both times, Marquez blamed Rossi. Those events were Rd. 3 & 8 respectively... By the last 3 races he was well out of it and secure in 3rd place in the standings. He certainly didn't have anything to lose.

Lets do a sampling of Marc's usual work when he's got even a sniff of a win...

And then there was Sunday.... where we see him play it safe... Pfft.

I saw a quick clip of the pass Rossi put on MM when he crashed and MM's pass on Pedrosa. They were almost exactly the same except Pedrosa moved out to the rumble strip to keep it up instead of leaning in against MM the way MM leaned into Rossi.

I was starting to think I could like MM with his outright speed and his aggressive style but not now. F that kid and I hope he never wins another championship.

They should go to Bosotn pizza together and talk it out over some pasta.

A lot of people say the Rossi guys are whining but when that many people agree there was a wrong done and are all on the same page you can't just play it off as whining. I didn't care who won but I could clearly see the dickish moves going on. You'd have to be blind not to and I don't follow every race.

MM is a little prick with dickish moves. Maybe some fans blind because masturbating?

Fixed that for you ;)

MotoGP better get in front of this with the strictest of policies - lifetime expulsion from MotoGP if there is evidence found of corruption / collusion. You can always count on people talking. I'm sure the drama of this sent their ratings through the stratosphere, but in the long term the fans will walk away if they feel they are being duped. Not sure if MM is going to be able to outrun the boos and hatred. His career is effectively over at 22.

never seen a Federer Nadal match eh
I saw Riggs vs King. I tried watching a video of Federer and Nadal, but didn't make it through the first two minutes; does paint dry faster? Anyways, why do you guys and gals watch motorcycle racing? For most sports, I'd rather be doing, than watching.
