Exactly the taxes were already paid on the bike when it was first purchased. It's idiotic to have to keep paying taxes on the same item as it get handed down and resold again and again. They could potentially collect more in taxes than and item was originally worth if it was sold and reregistered enough times.

Potentially?? Try finding the history of some 60's muscle cars, and I would bet that it is the norm.

It was a trade. Should've tried putting $0, lol.

IIRC the lady wouldn't accept anything less than $1 she was quite the piece of work. She kept telling us "there's no such thing as a trade"
