I have a sectional garage door with tracks and a garage door opener that is mounted in the middle. Two single doors actually, same arrangement.
I was just looking at wall mount openers that spin the spring-rod (counterweight) instead of pulling on the top edge of the door.
Then was thinking that maybe I could just move my existing openers off to the side of the door instead of central.
Thoughts? Too much stress on the side will cant the door making it difficult to lift?
Would free up some storage space above... Central tracks get in the way sometimes, especially as I have a higher ceiling on one side.
