Been a while since I posted up a ride...
Tuesday looks to be a nice hot day with the forecast calling for well over 20deg and pure sun.
Should be perfect for a fall colours blast to somewhere with lots of beautiful twisty backroads and little traffic.
No gravel intended - just paved roads. If you have ridden with me before - same sort of thing.

PM or post if up you are in.

5 riders max - not suitable for new riders, since there will be lot's of twisty roads at a good pace.
4 riders in so far...

Pace: I'll keep it responsible in the straights, respectful in the smaller towns and a fun in the corners. No hooligan or stupid stuff.
Fuel: Gas tank range should be minimum 200km with breaks every 2 hours or so.
Lunch: Pack a lunch or grab something super quick somewhere and head over to a scenic spot to chow down.
Depart: Mississauga @ 6:15am (it's a weekday and don't like getting stuck in morning rush hour traffic)
Meetups: Open to meet up at Tim’s/Shell at Innisfil Beach Road and Hwy 400.
Return: I have to be back home to Mississauga by 7pm latest- if we are running behind, then I'll just remove some roads or just blast back on the highway to make time.

Route: about 800km (round trip from Mississauga).
This will be my first ride using a new-to-me gps, so I expect to get lost or have some issues until I figure out some things with it.

Now the ideal app (AI maybe) would take those squiggly lines and turn them into an ideal route.

Would love to join but Tuesday is my son's birthday.

I'm heading up tomorrow morning but coming back Monday night😑Shane does such sick rides but unfortunately my bike is a pig and I'm not even sure I could get 200kms out of a tank🫣

Just got back from a run thru the Kawarthas then back along Lake Ontario. Some colour starting, but I think we’re still more than a week away from a colour storm.

Turned onto Round Lake rd and started to open her up, then all of a sudden THUD! felt like I got shot in the chest with a potato gun. Had to go back down that road into town to grab groceries, laying on the road was a rather large dead bird lol

The places I rode that had the most color were 515, 512, Centennial Lake and hwy 28 between Bancroft and hwy 7.

Was planning to ride out more roads west on my way home, but the owner of the cottage let me check out super late so I just headed straight home and I didn't want to deal with the 400 either.

I was just 15 minutes north east of peterborough
had some colours, only just saw this thread this morning, otherwise i wouldve probably tried to join. hope by the time you read this that youll have had a fun ride :)

Great roads and glorious day out. Colours were really nice up along the 518 and on Midlothian Road.

Yep, a great ride, with three good guys. Shane, Sid, and Randy, all fine riders. No nonsense, no bull$hit, no douchebaggery. And these guys are fast! Sorry to be the slowpoke, but someone had to do it. I hope I didn't hold you guys up too much.

Fantastic roads, Shane knows all the good ones. Screaming Heads was cool. Curiously, 773kms on the Garmin, but 755kms on Rever and the bike's odometer. What's up with that?

Thanks for putting it together, Shane. Thanks for having me. IMG_20231003_073916299_HDR.jpgIMG_20231003_095012064_HDR.jpgIMG_20231003_113239440_HDR.jpgIMG_20231003_113801688_HDR.jpgIMG_20231003_140435019_HDR.jpgIMG_20231003_140518887_HDR.jpgIMG_20231003_155121574_HDR.jpg
