EESA Gun Club Open House - June 8th & 9th GUNS, GUNS, GIRLS AND MORE GUNS!!!

Just as a heads up for anyone not picking up the ride at the Whitby point, the ride will be passing thru Guelph line and 401 at around 7:00. I'll be waiting for it at the Petro on the North West corner. http://goo.gl/maps/5IlpI
point to point from Whitby is about 50 mins (@ 100kph) so you'll want to be there at 7 AT THE LATEST.

Also, sunday is going to be sunny and 20 - great riding weather!!

I'll meet you at Petro at around 7 tomorrow. Black Gixxer 600 :)

This is from a person who'd rather stay anonymous (may or may not be TAFB):

REMINDER: ARRIVE AT MEET SPOT WITH FULL TANK!!

We'll meet at the timmies in Pickering at Whites Rd. and Hwy #2 ( http://goo.gl/maps/tQqQ8 ) at 6:00am and head out at 6:30am. I'll take the 401 right to the range. Pace will be barely CBR125 friendly (full tuck). We should arrive at the range for 9am opening. We will be parking on grass so MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PARKING PUCK! Seriously, don't even bother coming if you don't. Crush down a popcan, use a soup can lid, etc. etc. DON'T FORGET THIS!

On the way there: http://goo.gl/maps/p5wS5

From start point to fuel stop:
172 km – about 1 hour 37 mins to:
Fuel: 43.057259,-80.813263

From fuel stop to range:
39.6 km – about 35 mins to:
Range: 42.7767,-80.931796

On the way home: http://goo.gl/maps/BmCwy

From range to fuel stop:
105 km, 1 hour 11 mins (that's 185km total since the last fuel stop!)
Fuel: 43.432954,-80.245366

Then just peel off the 401 wherever you'd go to get home.

Ok, I guess not that anonymous

I really don't understand why Bleed Blue don't post on this forum

Something came up, won't be able to get up early tomorrow so I have to sadly skip this one :(
Have a safe ride guys!

Anyone who is meeting at Guelph line.....be there early!!!! We're gassing up at the petro and meeting on the shoulder like last year. You'll need to be buckets on ready to roll when the ride comes thru.

See you out there

I went (late) today with a friend. Was fun, but shotgun line-up was still super long (same as last year).

Also, TICKETS CAN BE USED FOR FOOD!! I've done this both years, and the instructors might say you can't.

I'll be there...gonna have a couple friends follow the bike train in their cage...

i want to go but ive been drinking so it might not work out

If someone smelled booze on you in my club, you'd be kicked outta the facility and whoever invited you would get in trouble. Plus it's not a good idea to be getting on 2 wheels while still sauced up from last night.

Lol....

Thank you to all those who came out and supported this event. We hope you guys all had a great time.

Unfortunately, we couldn't get our hands on some of the more interesting guns and ammo supply was a real problem this year (resulting from the termoil in the US).

Preliminary numbers are still be tabulated, but we had around 1,500 people join us this weekend and tens of thousands of rounds of ammo were sent downrange.

Look forward to seein you guys next year!

Is there a way to do this more regularly? I'm sure you;ll be a good turnout

Great event. Even my wife came (never even touched a gun before) and had a blast. $80 between the two of us and had a great afternoon.

Yeah, if they ran it AT LEAST twice a year it would be way better :)

Nice! Either of you going to get your license? Those who shoot together stay together ;) I have links to the course manuals if you want to just take the test, or there's a great course run over at http://guns.to :) It's not expensive to get started, you can get a nice new handgun for $369 ish (.45acp 10rd double stack 1911), $429 for a new rifle (M14/M305 .308 5rd semi). Neither the best starter guns but you'd just get there eventually anyway :) Go big or go home.

Unfortunately, its highly unlikely. This event is run solely by volunteers whose time is already stretched. I can't imagine there being any appetite to do this twice a year.

We have in the past done small ones for smaller groups (of around 20 or so). If there is any interest, the organizer can contact the club by visiting our homepage. www.eesa.ca

Don't think we will. As fun as it is, I think I would get addicted to having a variety of guns.....bike is the toy for now.
