Anyone going to Haagens tonight

Haagens hasn't had bike nights in several years now. As unfortunately happens at these things, enough people were being idiots and they stopped hosting them. The one that was started up in Port Perry at the plaza across from the causeway Tim Hortons to replace the Haagens one lasted literally 2 or 3 meets before it was also kicked out courtesy of people revbombing and doing burnouts in the parking lot.

This sounds familiar.

Lakeshore and Leslie (L&L) died a similar death. Years of getting along peacefully with people using the grocery store in the same parking lot. Occasional hoonery but we were civil and the cops decided to spend more time getting the people showing off going twice the limit on Lakeshore then bothering the people in the parking lot. Then one year trash appeared consistently on the ground, mere steps from a trashcan, people were being ***** to shoppers who were just trying to get into their cars to go home. 2 months later the cops show up one night "you guys aren't welcome here, goodbye".

A few weeks later there was a smaller meetup up north and it started off really great. Good bunch of people being mature and hanging out with good eats. Then a trio on sport bikes rolled in very loudly, but they quickly got on with mingling. Later, on the way out they loudly idled forever and finally the GSXR bro finally started revving, as if we've never heard a GSXR600 before...duh One guy storms over and yells "Take that **** back to L&L!!" and to my surprise a lot of people starting clapping at that statement. The trip got lost and to my knowledge we've never had an issue with the land lords in that area since.

On that note, Vaughan is cracking down on parking lot takeovers but in typical Vaughan fashion, they did a crap job and used terrible wording in their by-laws. The crackdown is on "car" rallies but "car rally" is defined as a gathering of motor vehicles (Why include "car" then?). It is illegal to advertise, be a vendor, collect money or attend one and fines are up to $10k. It would suck to come out of movie at colosus and get a 10K ticket as a rally has enveloped your parked vehicle. I wonder if they'll make an example and close off a parking lot and ticket everybody?

Isn't Newmarket the new L&L?
yep, went once for 20 minutes, saw the same shizzle developing and bounced.

heard on the 2nd week there some guy wheelied leaving and smashed into a car at the intersection.
