2023 Ural Gear Up

How long has it been since putting money down?

Enjoy. Hope to see mud on it in the next set of pics.

EDIT: Whats the deal under the chair? Are those coil springs in a rubber boot?

So I’ll know who I’m waving at when I see a ural around St Jacobs
Conestoga areas

Congratulations on the purchase

Ya, i gotta find some loose stuff and try 2wd. It's impossible to use it on pavement.
Sidecar suspension. Coil springs in rubber snowmen. All 5 shocks are preload adjustable. Tools in the standard toolkit.

Strange, I coulda sworn I read that they do. Huh.
Live rear axle, sidecar wheel can be engaged through a simple spline coupling. It's only used in snow and loose terrain.

You don't really need a diff when the difference in turning radius is small, and the terrain is loose. Look at at the older pre independent suspension atvs, 3 wheelers, Banshee and Raptors are all live axles with 2 wheel peel.

No diff.

Let us know if you will be holding demo days. ;););)

This is what I was thinking of.

Ural Sportsman had a diff sourced from a Ukrainian company, but they stopped making them in the late 90s/early 00s.
I think thats a Dpner drive fitted to a Ural. Urals own is brilliantly simple, couple and uncouple a solid shaft. Works similar to the old locking 4wd front ubs.
