I was just there yesterday... doing my M in-class from LC... It was raining... I didn't ride.. passed by it this afternoon as well during my M-test.

Was talking to someone about insurance and they mentioned that he only gets comprehensive on the motorcycle and not the collision portion and thus save quite a bit of $$$ on premiums... want to see what are the downsides to this?

as a new rider too... I'd say be careful. If you haven't bought a bike yet, I'd go small... anything 400cc below as recommended by many is more than enough to start and learn riding. I would also refrain from buying a bike with too much electronics... except may be ABS (hehe.. even ABS may be...
