Hello, I have a 2008 HYO gt 650 s, they aren't honoring my warranty because a rubber piece broke off at the carb just like u posted, I never removed the gas tank and air filter that they say are required to be moved for that rubber to break. Mine also sat for months due to bad parts. Will you give me more info on your situation so I have a leg to stand on with HYO so they will honor my warranty. Thank you.
