To quote the ad: "Bike runs and drives like a dream , very comfortable bike hasn't even seen its 2nd oil change yet low km". Only 9,800 kms, so very low, but only 1 oil change in nearly 10 years? I wonder if it looks like sludge?

Price is tempting, but is it worth it, 2004 Kymco Venox 250 for $200, got a oil leak, looks like a chunk is missing exposing the valve springs maybe?

Personally I think that bike is scrap. The motor is definitely toast. Part of me wants to see the valve cover off to understand how it spit out a chunk of the head

I can answer that with one word. China.

Made in Korea but not much better. I wonder if the home mechanic did the tune up. Losing a shim and high revs. I have seen a few bikes that did this with the exact type of damage.

It looks like that motor has the screw/locknut setup not shims. Much easier to come loose. Still surprised they managed to break a chunk out.

Losing a shim should increase valve lash a bunch, how does that break heads? I could see it breaking a rocker arm or bending a valve due to the impact when it hits. Maybe the shim gets stuck and decreases lash, but again, that should bend valves. Does the shim actually lock the cam and thats what blows it up?

The odometer only has 5 digits plus one decimal. It's clearly 14,117.8 kms. Bike looks way too clean.

Must refrain, too many titles in wallet already :(
