Maybe someone passed the assassin on one of his group rides and he went ballistic and game on. Seen it before mystery gsxr guy niagra bound slides in the group and Then its chase the rabbit time for any crazy enough. Lol

Yep, exactly. And I don't buy the "A few idiots made the entire group look bad" - what a load of bunk - there was more than "a few", and those who had any issues with being made to look bad could have simply turned off at any point and rode home, end of story.
A few comments across the multiple threads on this topic make me think there was more than a few.
And like I said in one of the other threads....next spring there will be more tears and crying threads about how expensive sportbike insurance is. Connections will not be made. Entitlement will continue.

Yep, exactly. And I don't buy the "A few idiots made the entire group look bad" - what a load of bunk - there was more than "a few", and those who had any issues with being made to look bad could have simply turned off at any point and rode home, end of story.

Makes me glad I ride a cruiser, because any member of the public who witnessed any of that dbaggery, or saw media coverage of it, well, public perception on sportbikes is now going to be at an all time low, and like it or not (sorry responsible sportbike guys)...you ARE going to be painted with the same brush.
Some sort of crackdown is going to happen if this sort of idiocy continues.

Police can do what they want. If they figure the SIU will be involved as the rider will end up crashing or killing someone then they might not, but to think that if a bike doesn't immediately stop the cop will say "oh well...guess I let it go because it is a bike" is just dumb.

My worry would be watch there be some new law come into the fold that would ban formation riding/driving, effectively putting an end to any form of group riding in Ontario. Granted I can't see them putting it through, but if enough crap happens with sportbikes, Harleys and Dover, and the whole CSCC/North Face Rally type groups, who knows.

I work for a major Toronto news outlet. Our assignment desk tracked down some of the 519 asshats via social media today. Really should not post about the upcoming douchebaggery beforehand. After asking cops for comment, they asked for the social media handles of those identified. I think the chief assignment editor obliged.

First a guy runs into the back of a truck, at speed, and now this. I think we still have a ways to go before declaring best country to live on earth. I, for one, am deeply saddened by the negative energy. Not affiliated with any news outlet.

I can see that you're attitude's improving, but what are you trying to say?
I can't read lips yet. Not deaf enough.
Anyways, police might be thinking along the lines of impounding vehicles and possibly gear, that they can positively identify as being there.
That way, if the vehicle is stolen, it can be returned to the rightful owner.

As someone else suggested, it's not surprising that many of the participants were jizzing themselves just waiting to brag about everything online. Surprised a bunch of YouTube videos from helmet cams hasn't flooded YouTube already.
If there's one thing that many of the dbag crowd is good at, it's being stupid in the face of self incrimination. Gotta get hitz on YT, bro. And hit up all my snapchat friends with cool vidz, yo. FTP!

You know what is going to happen now, right? Anybody with any taillights, turn signals and license plate holders that are not stock, or stock appearing will be stopped and ticketed. Aftermarket exhaust systems will be scrutinized. Most of this will be concentrated on "sport bikes", but that will be in the eye of the individual officer, especially in Peel, and we know how reasonable these guys are to begin with. It will be quietly done but lots and lots of tickets will be written and it will be up to those who receive them to fight them or not. It will not be fun. Ironically the cruiser/harley crowd will be mostly ignored. Actually since this crowd can't stop themselves from posting on youtube etc. the police will eventually track down and visit anybody they can dig out of the videos, and they'll figure out where they live, there are lots of shots of parking lots, gas stations etc. which all will have surveillance cameras. So once they identify the gas station as an example, they'll examine their cameras and see who's licence plate was there. Should be an interesting couple of weeks in the GTA.

Good. Even if they only manage to nail 10 or 20 of these dbags it'll make the rest think twice about participating in this kind of crap in the future.

Well it appears all the frumpy old-before-their-time folks are up in harms again here. All I see is a bunch of young people out enjoying themselves on their bikes. Yes, they're lane splitting and a couple of them are doing wheelies. So what? It's not like this is new. In 1948 a similar posse invaded Hollister, California and the frumpy people called in the National Guard they were so scared.
The problem here is when people see that many bikers they feel intimidated. You can see the traffic stop cold and look. But was it really that bad? I don't think so. Just one guy trashed his bike (LOL @ the way the cheap plastic thing burned into practically nothing), big deal.
I think the prophets of disaster here need to stop having a nervous breakdown. There won't be any law changes because of this. If people start getting hurt we might see some action, but so far they're more a hazard to themselves and if they want to risk their lives that's their problem. The police are not babysitters.

It appears that while all this nonsense was happening, I was riding a sport bike the way it was meant to be ridden, at Calabogie.
Looks like I'll have to ride someplace other than anywhere near Toronto for the next little while. Thanks for the bad publicity, idiots.

i doubt it'll prevent it from happening again or even stop them from joining. It's the F da police mentality and most will get away with it with nothing more than an awesome good ride memory of the day.
