Most people are killing themselves or getting hurt the same way they would in a car, but playing a game instead of texting.
At least this game is getting kids out of the house rather than sitting at home on their iPads all day - which brings up a whole other issue with pedophiles (Note my previous post and add on to this as well).
That being said, time spent on GTAM is time wasted as well isn't it?
This is kind of a weird thing to say on a motorcycle forum
No, because there is useful information posted here sometimes.
There are group rides to attend.
And you are not walking/riding/driving around the city distracted putting yourself and others in danger as you look for a character in your video game.
My subtle implication was that some will argue that motorcycles themselves are for people with way too much time and money
Depends on what you pay for the bike and ins. and where you work...i.e. free parking downtown.
Doo you need to jailbreak your iphone for this?I strongly advise against driving/riding and playing pokemon GO. I drive/ride with waze all the time, and even that has gotten me into some close-calls where i'm looking at the screen and all of the sudden traffic stops in front of me, and i brakd super late.
Pokemon GO while driving/riding, is an accident waiting to happen. I don't think that talking on your phone while looking at the road is a big problem; you don't need two hands on the wheel; but texting/browsing/playing games on your phone is a huge problem.
The number of times I've come to an abrupt stop, and reversed on road just to catch a pokemon; this was at around 2AM as well, but I just realized it wasn't worth it.
Instead I got a tweaked/sideloaded version of pokemon GO on iOS, which allows me to sit on my a.ss and tap and go in whatever direction I want. Within two hours, while sitting in bed i caught over 60 different pokemon including a starter; visited +100 pokestops and leveled up from 4 to 10

I never understood the allure of cheating at games to accomplish things like this. Does it make you more impressive to other players or something?
Last game I saw someone cheat at the guy got banned when the developer caught onto the cheat. The guy about lost his mind since he'd apparently cheated himself into some elite something or other...which to me seems like a joke considering he didn't "earn" anything, he cheated his way there.
Can't say I know diddly squat about Pokemon Go except for the fact that apparently the funeral home around the corner from our house is a Gym and there's always a gaggle of kids sitting in the grass every night now.
On an unrelated note, loading what is very clearly an unofficial hacked or code modified version of an app onto your phone is just asking for your phone being hacked by someone in China/Bangladesh/Russia/etc. If you suddenly find your Facebook account has been hijacked, your email locked out, and your bank account empty a week from now, well, you'd know where to look for the cause.
... But the reality is you're never going to keep up with the cheaters, or the power gamers who dump real money into it. ...
After the official release of the game, the distracted driving I've witnessed is unreal.
People driving 80-90km/h while searching/catching pokemon + pokestops....
It's a good time to stay away from Markham...
That being said, I have almost lost interest in the game already. Can barely keep myself playing for more than 15 mins a day... Don't know how people go for hours on this game..
I hear you, was intense for the first week, now its basically "i have it on during my runs and rollerblading" but dont pay much attention to itAfter the official release of the game, the distracted driving I've witnessed is unreal.

I say dont sell stock yet cause well.. trading system is coming in pretty soon and that'll make it go up a bunch more.
Why would the success or failure of this app have a significant influence on Nintendo's stock? This is peanuts for them, financially
