Hello All
Hoping some one here can give me some ideas, I though I had this solved,, I was wrong,
Bike is a 1996 fatboy
Issue: intermittent loss of power,
Symptoms: analog speedo drops to zero, digital km counter turns off, bike bogs down like it's getting no fuel. (Guessing from plugs not firing). Loss of power , Lights dim in and out. However The bike does not shut off, I pull over let it idle a minute if that and it steadies itself.
This happened twice a few weeks back, I checked battery it has 12.5, when bike is running goes up to 14 if I give throttle.
I tightened everything going to battery and the main ground cable cleaned it all out. Rode the bike for 2 weeks no problem..
Today it happened again. And now I am guessing something In the fuel delivery causes power loss? Is that crazy?
Here is why.. Today I noticed, this happens I think not sure when I open up the throttle passed half.. It's almost like it bogs down from too much gas? But is that possible to shut off power,,
Is there any scenario where where giving throttle would cause power loss symptoms
Or
When I give it so much guess it shakes so much (and it does) then the loose electrical contact comes into affect? But then how does the connection steady itself back so quick
Any ideas?
