Buying House without a realtor?

In end the it comes down to what's most important to you (and your family if you have one). We don't have kids now, but I sure wouldn't want to be stuck in a car instead of being with them.

Where we are now we love it. The neighbourhood is great, the schools are good, the Lake is a 90 second walk, but just can't afford to buy here. I'm 18km from work straight up the 427/27 and my wife goes against traffic both to and from work...it's a great area, but I can't afford a ready to move in house for 500k, let alone a shack that needs 100k to make livable for 600k.
I'm assuming that you're renting now?

cause the more #s you have the better it looks. All marketing. People are fooled easily. Just look at our elected governments.

Personally I'd like 10 acres of woods behind my house, but it ain't gonna happen affordably close to the city amenities.
10 acres of woods would be great. A hundred acre woods would be Pooh.

I love my neighbourhood. It feels more like a small town than the many small towns I grew up in as a kid. Lots of small local business to support all within walking distance. I know everyone on my block, I walk my kids a block to school and I have 5 parks in a 4 block radius. I grow vegetables in my backyard. I love urban living just east of the core. I just wish i could shoot racoons. That is the one thing I miss from going up in the country. I hate racoons.

Live traps will catch them. there's many ways to skin a cat err racoon. I'm all for humanely poisoning or shooting them but I know some one that uses a rain barrel.

Be cautious dealing with raccoons or even skunks, one tree hugging neighbor and your on the way to court. Even catching one in a live trap and not getting to it in a timely fashion is considered cruel. Raccoons may have more civil liberties than you do. Ask Harper....

Remember ome guy who made it to the news because he beat a racoon with a broom or something like that?

difference between peacefully going to sleep or retching a fortnight?

I've heard of many people using anti-freeze so the raccoons drink it...personally I just let them be.

I love it when they tear themselves to shreds outside my window....especially when they do it at 4am...such a great sound to wake up to...

Antifreeze is neither quick nor painless as it involves kidney failure. I think buttering agents have been added to antifreeze to reduce accidental poisonings.

We had one neighbour who used to use quick and painless shotgun pellets on dogs that were sniffing around his farm.

Good luck with that in gta city limits

He used to buy dynamite for environmental purposes (blowing up beaver dams), as well.

Anyway, the idea is to buy something and then be able to hold on to it.

Slow death and I think you are correct re the bitter taste being added. Cats used to like the stuff as well hence the flavour change.

This thread took a very interesting turn....

Start: Buying house without a realtor
Mid: Here are some realtors
End: Let's kill some pests around our house with different methods

Interesting indeed...
