Im still lusting for the MV Agusta Rivale 800 in gray...would you choose it or a Hypermotard SP? City bike with some highway. No touring. Commuter too. Reliability is important

I had an 1100 Hyper S for a couple of years.It was crazy fun and reliable.I'd buy another in a heartbeat if I felt losing my license wasn't important.

I'm happy with my road bike, looking for something to ride during the winter like days like today.
Even ride around when there is snow in the roads and have a laugh.
 
I'm about a month away from buying a new FZ09 . First new bike. Plus I'll get to mod it to me which I'm excited about as well

Having just sold my BMW 1200GS a week ago, it defiantly won't be a BMW product! I am deciding between a 2014 V Strom 1000, and the new Yamaha FJ-09. If I can't get a deal on those I might just pick up a late model KLR and farkle it up.

What was wrong with your GS? I am on my second GS, and the only thing I would replace my 2010 GSA with is:
 
If/when my insurance levels out, If i were to stick with a small bike for the city I'd say a new GROMM, but depending on premiums an R1 or R6, or a crazy modded cafe'd cx500, cx650 engine, Murray's Carbs, upgraded front end swap, mono shock rear, under tail exhaust, maybe even wire wheels and or single sided swing arm if i could. lol.
After careful consideration and recolection, a first gen busa or a ural with a sidecar, 2wd obviously. All that aside sooner and more realistically i'd have to throw it out there that any of the small honda cub/passport models with a Daytona Anima 190 swap would make me very happy. Even just a lifan 125 swap which i've already got sitting in a donor bike waiting for love.
I can dream, can't I?

CR500 In a gen 4 or 5 crf chasis supermoto that's street legal.. The smell would make your eyes water.. Bbbbrrrrrppppp
 
When I had my ktm 300 2t it was blue plated. Totally a blast to run the roads with. Not so much for commuting. ;)

Not the best bike for what I need but lust will make you do silly things, like get a superbike for a city commuter
