Crazy how thats come full circle eh? Started out as everyone spewing out support for him, now he's "surrendered" to police. I wonder what all of the initial supporters of Gomeshi are saying now.

Crazy how thats come full circle eh? Started out as everyone spewing out support for him, now he's "surrendered" to police. I wonder what all of the initial supporters of Gomeshi are saying now.
It's still charges, not convictions, and the surrender was orchestrated through his lawyer. It's better optics than having the cops show up at your condo and hauling you away in handcuffs.

all these allegations ( 10+ complainants ) and only 5 charges. I wonder if these charges are all from the same incident, or did the police discount some of the people.

This is sport now. Give us something to hash out, reading and viewing pleasure, some people will make money....it's all good. Plus Jian had a good run. Plus plus he could make the comeback of the century. Everybody loves a redemption story. I'm picking up a good vibe.
I think Jian might have a lot of vibes going cheap right now.

From the sound of it only 4 were willing to appear in court. The others could have been compelled to appear but you never do well, with a witness who doesn't want to be there.
Some of these allegations go back nearly a decade. After that long people just want to get on with their lives and forget about what happened. One woman said that she now has two daughters and doesn't want to drag them through it.
Jerry Sandusky comes to mind. Lots of people suddenly came forward.
He has a tough call. Redemption stories only ever work when the person admits to what they did, seeks help, and begs the public for forgiveness now that they are changed. For him to do this, he has to admit he commited a serious crime(s) with no statute of limitations. Damned is he does, damned is he doesn't.
Add to that the guy from Maple Leaf Gardens (Gordon Stuckless). And for all the tough guys here, Graham James (Hockey player victims). Also the BBC guy... the list goes on and on.
Ya, we'll see. He may choose to throw in the towel and go away, never to be seen again. From what I understand about him and his ilk is that he will craft something. For starters, I'd love to be in the room when he tries his magical charms on the lawyer. You just know he's thought about it.

Bill Cosby seems to be currently a parair with all the accusations coming out from years and years past. I'd like to believe he didn't do those things but many of those coming forward don't really have anything to gain.
Her defense strategy may well involve her getting "sexually" punched in the face by JG.

The spin is going to be that his accusers are the villains and his actions are just misunderstood
Predators are remarkably good at sniffing out viable prey. Marie Henein doesn't strike me as being anyone's prey.
Ghomeshi's legal Dream Team. His strategy: hire hot female lawyer as a distraction.
