Most aftermarket rearsets have solid pegs (unless you meant non-adjustable oem). You have to change the position of your foot before you enter the corner to prevent your toe from dragging. Having folding pegs can really complicate this if your boot gets hung up. I have size 12 feet so I'm well aware of the issue.
 
great day out there. Followed you for a few laps in the 2nd last session. Didn't get a chance to talk with you at the end of the day, but much better through turn 1, much quicker turn in. You can drive the corner wider and carry more speed, going from the apex to 2 is nearly a straight line, can be a bit more of a bow. Still too early turning into 3, but otherwise quite good.

I have aftermarket megs, stock hight but I think there stunt pegs? I kept my foot on the edge of the pegs so I didnt hit them

Smergy, my turn 1 was getting better. felt way faster on that line, was never dragging nee through turn 1 before. In the end I started to suck in my nee, needed more turn and it was in the way.

Anyone hear any updates about the guy that high sided in the last session of intermediate on Sat. ?

He wasnt moving and got taken away on a stretcher. It look pretty bad.

Turns out it was a good friend of mine :( From his girlfriend:

"yesterday at Cayuga Steve high sides his bike on a turn.....he is currently in Hamilton General Hospital, dislocated left shoulder and 2 fractures. One fracture is really bad and they have just finished surgery to pin and screw it all back together. Needless to say....his riding this year is done......minimum 6 months recovery"

I wish him a fast recovery :(
 
I hope he gets well soon, all the best to a quick recovery

Steve crashed on the Sunday (on the Saturday I believe their talking about a different incident where someone needed heart medication and didn't have any contact info). I was the guy there with Steve on Sunday (we had gone together). But yeah, wasn't a day without a few incidents for sure.
 
was steve the guy pitted beside aliki and her bf? cant remember his name to save my life. we were pitted just under the grand stands

P.S your old girl gsxr1000 still pulls pretty decently.
 
thanks, not too bad for a 2001, she really comes to life at higher speeds when i start to pressurize the over sized airbox in her. what bike were you on?

Yup that was us right beside them.. I had the blue/black GSXR and Steve had his black SV track bike.. Aliki's BF's name is Brad btw lol.

I don't remember seeing you guys.. I know there was a guy with a black GSXR? that dropped it underneath pop-up at some point. Were you with him?
 
yup that was my buddy brian, his welfare stand as we call it popped the bike off, probably becuase we were on some rutted areas. my buddy jeff was on the red gixxer thou and i was on the ninja turtle as my buddies call it.
i thought it was brad, i knew it was a b name but i couldnt remember.
we're going back on the 5th for another track day, if you guys are out and see me and the black gixxer come say hi, we'll probably be parked in the same spot
 
I will be back the 5th or 6th. Very busy at work, dont know if I can get the sat off.
