S.O.A.R. 2014 Race Schedule is UP...

Having not read the SOAR rule book... is that true of the pro, AM classes? By bike weight? Or in general?
In General, any tire in any class except for the Bridgestone sponsored cup where you obviously have to run Bridgestones

Different than what I'm used to. I'd definitely use slicks, end of.

RACE AM 600 is dot only. I definatly prefer the feel of the slicks over the dot and also felt that I would run out of tire earlier on the dot compared to the slick.

Any tire, any class, except Bridgestone CUp.
Bring slicks, DOT's, street tires, touring tires...hell maybe even knobbies,LOL

Hey Ken,

Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere but I don't see it, when do the race licenses go on sale? I was planning on getting it at the December show but with that now happening in February I am not sure when they are for sale. When does the early discounts stop?

Thanks.

I will have the forms out shortly the incentives end at the end of the January bike show as does number retention once that show is over numbers are not held and are free to go elsewhere.

Ken, regarding the posted schedule....

Why two rounds on the Long Track, and zero rounds on Technical (normal direction)?? Personally I like the technical track (clockwise) and would love to try racing on it.

Its just a matter of demand. People have asked for a second long track. The reverse Tech is scheduled and not a certainty I have to overcome a couple things to make it a reality and IF that cant happen that round will be normal Technical. You dont race? Starting?

Hello....signed up for my number at the show....asked you about licensing school dates several times....now you have hurt my feelings.
;)

My bad sorry. I talk to so many people. I get over 100 emails and pm a day this time a year. That triples before an event weekend. Seriously thinking about hiring a secretary/bookeeper/manager.

Ken,
You mentioned the joint races with RACE but I've not seen anything on the SOAR site or here. Is it still up in the air or has anything been settled? Just trying to figure out how many weekends I have to beg the wife to let me out of the house for.

The dates have been set but I am not ready to release them yet we are still working out details mostly what classes will run at Shannonville. As soon as I get the details it will be posted. Just tell her 7 :)

SOAR along with Grand Bend and Racer5 will work out how this will run. In previous years the Thursday was a GBM trackday that was run by Racer5. Then SOAR would do our Friday practice/school on Friday now SOAR and GBM will do a combined Friday. Racer5 will do the license school as usual. How this will all shake out regarding groups have yet to be determined. We will look at our traditional numbers and figure out the best way to proceed. It will all be announced long in advance of the first day
TBA BTW there was always four (R5 School, Green,Yellow,Red)

Hey Ken, has any decision been made on how the Fridays will run for track day riders?
Thanks.

Exact details no but there will be 100% a trackday portion. You will register for it through the track. SOAR will not be doing On-Track anymore through our system. result will be the same but registration will be slightly different.
