Two of us are planning to do a ride down to Key West on the family day week. The plan is to drive down from here on the Saturday, Feb 14, and get to Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, Feb16. Rent a bike from

for two days to ride down to Key West or ride around Miami area. Spend two more days exploring the area, either leaving Florida on Friday of Saturday for home and be back before the work week starts.

I can take one more rider, but if you can find another rider to team up with your own car. That works fine with me. 4 Riders will be the max as I don't know how many bikes will be available from the rental place, plus it works better with hotel with two riders/room.

Please post up or PM me if you are interested. The rental place(s) provide riding gears, but we will be bringing our own, hence 4 people in the car for two days of drive is a bit too tight.

Did that rids a few years ago, one of my best and most memorable.
Key west is a blast, lots of little scoots running around all over the place, great night life ;), worlds smallest bar.

Have a blast! I've driven the keys and dreamed what it would be like to do it on a motorcycle. Preferably my own.

Someday, someday I say.

I like key west weather and atmosphere but to many retired and old folks there. I prefer to be in south beach!

I did the scooter thing in Key West last year, great fun ripping around.

I did that too. The scooter tops out at around 60km/h, and you don't need a bike licenses to rent them. Also did the jet ski tour around Key West and visited the sand banks.

Might not be the best year for it.

No way... Theres no way that Florida has snow right now... That's insane.

I was just about to say that its going to be sunny and beautiful in Florida... perfect for a ride. Might see a day or two of rain but it shouldn't be any problem if you bring a rain suit for the ride.

There is definitely snow in North Florida. Georgia just called in the army to help out. Im in Ft Lauderdale right now and it's hot hot hot.

Last call. We will try to rent the Kawi Concours or the BMW-F800ST depends on availability.

Since the rental place is in Palm Beach, we will stay there to make life a bit easier when picking up and dropping off the bikes.

Don't get jealous, get even!!!

Gary wants to get the ST1300 from Eaglerider, but they don't have any in the Fort Lauderdale location (cannot contact them to inquire either because of the weekend).

One rider from Ottawa had good experience renting from rentmymotorcycle, so I may as well go with him. I prefer the Concours or the R1200/K1200. I never tried both so either one is good for me.

The R1200 RT or the K1200 S looks good.

Screw the F800, grab the beastly R1200T, awesome touring machine.

Man, I'm insanely jealous. Please provide pics and updates.

Ah Cheuh soo jealous would love to go on this trip but no way I can get away from work, have fun wish I was there.

Yeah, the roads are so straight down there, either go with something uber-comfortable, or get the Rip-Your-Arms-Off K1200S.

Listen up! The 7 mile bridge is a blast though. Nervy. Have fun and ride safe

Have a blast guys. Wish I was there

I am renting your bike for this duty. Picking it up tomorrow morning at 8:00AM. I cannot complain, weather is calling for sun shine all week with temperature around 25 to 28 Deg C. Even just cycling around the residential area in the late evening feels great.
