GSX R 600 - TD's laugahble quote

It's not that I'm not being honest with my insurer, it's the fact that the insurer is not being honest with the company he work's with. The insurer is a very close friend of my dads, thus the reason I am getting such low insurance... Why hate buddy ?

Because we all end up paying for insurance fraud. ****head !

Right, we know your dad has some buddies in the industry who were able to misrepresent some facts and get you a rate that hardly accurately represents your true situation. You and your dad are fully aware of this and I highly doubt there was any sort of intent to get an honest rate when you contacted your inside buddies. You, your dad, and your insurance agents are all part of the same scheme.

You should of at least kept quiet about it rather than openly advertise. Your reply hardly offers any sort of credible advice to the OP or anyone else in a similar situation. Now, when you try to play innocent on here, we can all easily call that bluff.

It is ******* idiots like this that mess things up for the rest of us.

Yep, you guys have this covered. This thread just ticks me off.

And in addition, it's your attitude. You seem utterly incapable of being patient (M2 thread, Site Supporter thread, Cheapo Helmet thread) and are very quick to brag about your situation. I know the area you ride in, you've demonstrated your attitude towards riding and now I'm waiting to see your picture on the news as the next statistic.

Lol you guy's actually care this much? Wow, haters will always hate. Anyways, when I become a statistic ill make sure your the first one to find out Macs! Have a good day everyone.

It's not so much that we care about you, quite the contrary. It's that honest posters here care about insurance fraud since it affects everyone and keeping threads like these filled with useful info. Posting and bragging about how you and your dad are knowingly misrepresenting an insurance company is as useless as it can get.

Just because you went through some middle man who is all buddy buddy don't think that absolves you and your dad responsibility of being apart of what is a dishonest situation. You played your cards and people are calling you out on it. You are fooling no one on here when you try to act all innocent and ignorant.

I would never wish any ill fortune on anyone as the less riders we have showing up as statistics, the better. Ride safe.

Bingo. Impatience and attitude.
No one wants to see you get hurt, but if your previous decision-making process is any indication, you're in for trouble. That's the concern.

On a separate note, I have to applaud the folks in the GTAM community who point out bullsh@t and dishonesty when they see it. I'm on other forums where members would have applauded this guy.

There are guys on here that are convinced anyone who says something is "jealous". Thankfully there are quite a few members here who call a spade a spade.

Unfortunately we seem to have a lot more dumb ***** than smart members lately. Its one thing to scam insurance but it takes a real ******* rocket scientist to post the details about how they are doing it.

Dude who the hell scammed insurance? I never said I committed any type of insurance fraud? Like honestly, my dad has had his m for 5 years. I said that I am under his insurance and that my dad's friend assisted me in getting a very cheap rate under my dad's plan. I do apologize for not being clear enough but I wonder why you guy's say this is fraud? Anyways, wish you all the best!

Misrepresentation to an insurance company can be considered fraud, Insurance is based on the highest risk driver on the policy (You), which means even if your dad had a bike and you didn't but had your license, His insurance would be based on yours (If you live at home) unless you sign a waiver saying you will not ride the bike in which case his insurance would be based on him.
Just because you know someone that can lie while writing your policy doesn't make it legal..... When it comes down to it if they find out during a claim or any other way do you really think your dad's buddy is going to say that he was the one that lied? I can guarentee you who will be going under the bus and you and your dad will have fun getting insurance for the next 5-10 years with insurance fraud on your records.

Jeff, as I live with my parents, my dad BOUGHT THE BIKE UNDER HIS NAME. Thus the cheaper insurance premiums. That's all I said. You know people that work in insurance companies get "discounts". Like working in walmart, some people for their friends use their "discount code" to help out a buddy. That's all that happened. I don't understand why fraud came up in this.

This has gone on too long.

You make it seem like it is your bike, which makes us think you ride it more than your dad. If you ride it more than your dad and the policy is under his name, then you are being dishonest with your insurer.

And by insurer I mean the company that pays out, not your Dad's friend.

Doesn't entirely matter if your dad is the reg. owner. Read through Jeff's point again about the highest risk driver/rider. You are primary operator so something ain't right here. Either you're not listed entirely (failure to disclose) or it was misrepresented that your dad is the primary.

As for employee discounts, they are just that... for employees and perhaps immediate family. NOT for their friends or buddies. If that were the case, everyone in this province would have an insurance buddy. This isn't Walmart. This is legally mandated and government regulated insurance.

It doesn't matter who's name it is under, Insurance goes by the highest risk in the house with a license for that vehicle (Unless you sign a waiver saying you won't drive it).
Call it whatever you want it is fraudulent, I understand you are young and don't fully grasp the concept of how it works.

If you get caught you will understand what we were all trying to explain to you.

Got my M2 this year and am 20 years old. I am currently insured under TD for a CBR 125r which cost me $2200 for Jun - February. Clean record.

I called to ask about how much extra it'd cost me to switch to a 2003 Gixxer 600 and they said their computer "wouldn't even calculate it because it would be over $10,000". Pretty ridiculous. Is there anyone else young here with a 600cc that has gotten insurance for *erm* less than $10k? If so, where at? Jevco won't do sport bikes, and statefarm wants over 5yrs driving experience.

i guess your too young and with an m2 only this year ...

my bro's bike is an 2006 R6 and I have it under my police (insured for 12 yrs, 33, etc) and I have it for him for only 700 / yr full coverage with TD

Not an unexpected quote for a 20 year old on a super sport.
Yep. Even when I got my 650R I was paying $430/month until I turned 25.

The funny thing is, the type of fraud he is committing does not cost insurers a dime...

When the claim is filed and they realize he was not supposed to be the one covered, they wont pay out. So the company got money to cover the bike, they don't have to pay out because someone else was riding, and then insurance companies go ahead and say they are "losing money from all the fraud happening" (while still turning record profits) so they have to increase rates.

You should be mad at the insurance companies, because they are the ones making you pay, not this "afgunz" kid.
