Ontario is no longer the place to prosper

A few years ago we toured Auschwitz. Nothing prepared me for that and nothing has ever touched me so deeply in my life. I literally could not speak.

This POS was not like O'Leary, Trump or anyone in or else seeking political office in the US or Canada today. This "thing" was pure evil.

The thing that haunts me is the pictures of flesh covered skeletons, their eyeballs protruding from their skulls waiting around to burned in the ovens, and the children and infants that were simply thrown onto the fire when still alive.

If you ever have the chance to go there it will certainly change your perspective on what human suffering and pure evil actually is. It should be a required school trip for teenager.

Where is the rest of the world on this now?

However he did create an investment fund that was/is well managed and makes money.

Did he start up a fund on Mars I didn't hear about?

I have respect for O'leary's financial savviness.

See above.

As stated before O'leary's financial dealings aren't what he makes them be. I would not invest money or time in him, you have a better return with the lotto.

Thing is softkey was in trouble before being sold and o'leary knowingly misrepresented the company being sold. Kind of like a shady car salesman.

QFT.

The real and shocking story Kevin Olearys business career

You can do something about this today. There is hope if enough people stand up.

FATD Canada is working with this organization

Not or don't want to be identified with a Christian group

Want to do more than just contribute, then Volunteer.

You CAN do something. You have that ability today. Encourage people to help. We just had a corporate ski/snowboard event in aid of Darfur at blue mountain. OK $600 is a drop in the bucket, but if everyone did it......

In Germany and Poland the vast majority of people did nothing, and even in this thread people are being compared to Hitler as if he was just another crazy socialist politician. There was even the comment that Hitler was "entertaining" I find that out of order, even if people were just trying to be a horses ***.

Hitler wasn't a one trick pony. He had a full life before "the incident". That's like saying Charles Manson is all about Helter Skelter. Hitler was a painter, Manson gave the the music business a go. People conveniently seem to forget that. I'm getting a headache. I'm gonna go hang around the bolt extractor thread.

I'm not staying in Ontario after I retire. Too expensive here. I see that Toronto Liberals are all moving west now after ruining Ontario. You can tell by the Alberta ridings that are now going Liberal and NDP. I'll move to Mexico if I have to.

A lot of people are moving to atlantic canada. I was shocked, but they love people there for making sense. Love the out doors etc... As a bonus, they don't ever have to see Kathleen Wynne ever again.

Because government corruption is unheard of in Mexico, right?

See above. Get that cheque book out. You sure as hell know that Trudeau will do nothing.

A few friends have actually been talking about doing a Saddle Sore Iron Butt - 1000 miles in a day - to support food aid in either Syria or the Sudan.

The thought is that we would try to get money through crowdfunding and 100% of the money contributed would go to the charity as we'll pay our own gas, etc.

I'm actually kind of stoked about the idea. It would be good to have a Saddle Sore day where thousands of riders would participate across the country.

My friend just moved to St. Johns. He loves it. Got some money from a incubator fund and they started a little business around VR.

He sent me pictures. Looks beautiful.

^^^ :) I'm in. Anyone in the GTA fancy doing this? I've been planning some routes for spring but this is a real incentive

An idea spreads like a disease

I keep thinking the same thing, but the reality is....health insurance.

I'd love to completely cash out my house and other unnecessary crap here when I retire and move somewhere nice, but that damn health insurance thing keeps ruining my dream - it costs a fortune when you're old and retired, particularly if you need it full-time, ie you're not back in the province/country enough months of the year (permanently gone) and you loose your nice socialized care we all enjoy here.

In a perfect world we never get sick and need a hospital, or a surgery etc etc....but reality in your retirement years is usually quite different.

As much as I dislike riding on the highways, I would be in for this.
