Breaking NEWS- New iPhone 7 water resistant/proof

Amen.

Samsung sold 320 Million phones last year, 26 million were Galaxy S7s which are virtually identical to Note 7s.

They simply had a manufacturing defect on a brand new model. Wasn't deliberate, like the VW dieselgate thing, simply a misstep in the manufacturer process.

up to 100 reported incidents out of 2.5 million phones? as one of the tech sites put it best, "classic frequency illusion, amplified by the effect of modern media."

Samsung has come clean and taking drastic measures and issued a recall with no questions asked and some perks.

They are still alright as a company in my book unlike volkswagen...

Evidently, samsung have more than phones exploding. LOL. Can't make this stuff up.

Well my LG G3 crapped out today, never buying another LG phone that's for sure..

I wish it would've lasted until Oct 4th for the Nexus/Pixel announcement. I wonder how much longer afterwards it'll be out in Bell stores

Good idea to have a beater phone as emerg backup. Maybe buy a cheapie to tide you over until the Pixel?

I might consider the note actually..just gonna wait for pixel announcements to decide

Telus Hamilton just texted me to come pick up my replacement Note, so I'm gonna guess they'll be available to the public soon....

another happy customer... LOLz

Dammit knew I should've stayed in French in HS....anyone care to translate or give an idea of WHY he did it?

PS - big guy moves pretty fast!

He's saying something about his consumer right being infringed when he didn't get a refund, presumably allowing him to vandalise property. A nutter, basically. Also screaming he can't breathe when he's pinned against the railing. Security guys seemed intimidated enough not to pin him down. Different world in France.

I'm old enough to remember this crap.

It was utter horsepuckey swine poo. But hey, dumbass hysteria fueled by self indulgent "journalists". Journalism itself is a joke.

edit - was that too subtle for Torontonian Millenials?

Even if it lasted until October 4 you would be phone less as they wont have stock for a while

Yeah true. I can wait it out, this n4 is surprisingly good still. I'm quite impressed.

In some respects it's actually faster than my g3 was. I think the LG heavily throttles CPU due to heat issues.

That's the issue with some of the google launches. Announce product but no stock available for months. A friend that loves his google phones laments that he has to wait months to get the phone he wants where even with the higher demand Apple has stock ready.

That was funny. Seriously, if kids are that important to her then uhm why not get a DIFFERENT phone.
I am pretty sure there are several good choices out there.
She makes herself look stupid. It's a phone people a phone...addiction to a phone, wth.

"It's frustrating as hell because you're missing phone calls from your kids. I have three kids. I use it for work," says Wiegers, who's employed with the city of Prince Albert.

What was the outcome of that? People were actually mistaking the accelerator for the brake pedal?!?
There may have been more than one cause.

The engine surge issue might have allowed cars to surge forward unexpectedly from a stop, without any input from the driver. If so, it could explain some of the low speed collisions where the driver didn't say they were mashing the brakes.

The other cause could only be people mashing the gas when they say they're mashing the brakes. Because for some weird reason the brakes would have had to have failed at the same time as the throttle opened up, when their operation (normal or abnormal) is entirely unrelated to the other.
