The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Generally pedestrians have the right of way. But doesn't matter who is in the right if yer dead/injured. Pay attention.

In the case of TTC bus vs. pedestrian the pedestrian would have been at fault. The walk signal was no longer in the pedestrian's favour, meaning that it was illegal to enter the crosswalk.

Sure, but it looked like the bus driver didn't even notice the pedestrian. Just went on his merry way ploughing over any and all in the way. He may have also ran the yellow, it's hard to tell since you can't actually see the lights. Running over someone, because you're right and they're wrong, isn't a pleasant thing to do.

Looks like the camera vehicle also ran the red, as he stopped well inside the intersection, preventing pedestrians from crossing without walking into traffic.

You don't need to see the lights on the cross street. Immediately after the bus turns, the light in the camera's direction goes green. As to the bus driver he would have checked that it was clear to make the turn and know that the light was in his favour, when the pedestrian RAN into his blind spot below the level of his windows.

At some point pedestrians have to take responsibility for their own safety and not pull moves that put them in danger.

I agree with Rob. You can't just walk around like a lemming. If you've played the game, you know how that ends
