Years back a friend had his car wrecked by a punk from the garage out doing dumb stuff. It went to court and the punk was ordered to pay for the damages. He basically gave the judge the finger telling him that he made minimum wage and you can't get blood from a stone.
That was before no fault. If you have full coverage something will pay the tab and accident forgiveness would be nice to have.
IMO unauthorized usage is theft. Go from there.
