Yet another sad loss at the hands of a careless driver. You'd think the government might make an effort at raising driver awareness with the kind of ad campaigns they have in Europe.
Maybe automobile drivers who are the responsible party in accidents involving a motorcyclist, bicyclist, or pedestrian, should face stiffer penalties. I know it's a closing-the-door-after-the-horse-has-left-the-barn type of thing, but those without a cage wrapped around them are just too vulnerable to significant damage.
Sorry to hear about their tragic accident and I hope the husband recovers quickly - at least in the physical sense as he's going to be scarred for life by his terrible loss.

Such a great loss and god only knows how a loved one moves forward having to live with this for the rest of his life. Especially when it's a careless accident while out doing something we all love, Riding.
