warm and fuzzy indeed.
i wonder what the numbers really are on auto/moto accidents where the driver takes off.

lovely, this just makes me warm and fuzzy...so now when you get clipped and lying on the ground, 1 in 6 chance dudes gonna run...although most the time people run anyways...i've had two hit and runs in my family, i was involved in one where the dude took off...so you bet if i get the chance, i'm ripping the keys out of the ignition before they get any smart ideas...

While the Canadian economy is not as bad as the U.S. at the moment, we are still in a recession. I would still expect that "an increase in the unemployment rate of 1 percentage point was directly associated with an increase in the uninsured motorist rate of more than three-quarters of a percentage point" here in Canada.
Perhaps the numbers are not exactly the same in Canada, but close enough. eg. 1 in 8 uninsured motorists by the end of the year? Any way you slice it, this is bad news.

Stuff is the bars of the prisons we lock ourselves in.
that sucks, but your insurance company already takes this into consideration...a part of your policy cost is "uninsured driver"...

well, the hit and run that did me in on the highway before xmas, his insurance ran out 4 days before the accident...no wonder he made a run for it...just sucks i suppose...i know it is a US post, but doesn't mean it doesn't happen up here, maybe not as much...but still...
That's "only" a 3% difference compared to the record low.
US figures though.
In Quebec you pay for your public liability insurance when you renew your plates. No current sticker, no current insurance.

The most common problem with motorcycles is the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.
