most likely they will, I deal with insurance companys all the time, and it doesn't take much.

I know this is gonna sound bad, but good to hear that you didn't get more hurt!
I mean paralized, or death is far worse!

Best to you and your recovery! (and your new ride next season)!

At first I was glad to be alive, then glad to not be paralized and now I'm glad the limbs are still attached. Someone was looking out for me that day.

Heal fast so you can go to the edge once again and return to tell the tale.

Bummer, sorry to hear of your accident. SV's must have a target on them, I was "T" boned by a pickup truck 3 years ago and ended up with a broken femur. To fix mine they had to put a large rod in my left leg which I will have the rest of my life. My accident was June 21st and I was able to ride again by thanksgiving weekend. The day after the accident a friend brought me a bike trader magazine and I thought my wife was going to kill him. I bought another SV and rode it for 2 years before selling it last October and bought a V-Strom. How bad is your break? Did they have to put in a rod or just a cast? As someone else posted talk to a lawyer. The insurance company of the guy who hit you will try and contact you right away and try to get all the information they can from you to start building their case. They will try and schedule a meeting with you, don't do it. Get a lawyer right away before you talk to anyone. When they contacted me my wife told them on several occasions that I was not feeling good enough to speak to anyone. Because they called so many times in a row I decided to speak to a lawyer, it was the best thing I ever did. Best of luck and please keep us updated on your recovery

Thanks Simon, the R&G swing arm spools I got from you took a beating. I should have got the R&G exhaust protector too, next bike for sure.

Thanks lawnboy, no cast on the leg, I've got the rod and pins. I'll be setting off metal detectors for the rest of my life Who was your lawyer?, I'm still looking for one.

My Lawyer in based out of downtown Hamilton and is a real shark. He went to bat for me and my family and is well worth the trip. If you still want his name PM me and I will send it to you. As for setting off the metal detectors at the airport, sometimes yes but most of the time no. However when you do set them off it's funny how they check you out. They put on rubber gloves and feel up your leg.

    hurryup and get well.
don't rush into getting back riding. take some time and heal properly before rushing into any activity which could further damage you.
fractured femurs can hurt like a bugger. at least your injuries were limited to what they are.

as was said. contact a lawyer. don't speak with the ins. co too much before then. document every ache and pain. dont focus on so-called settlement. its less than people think it is (we're not americans people)

    get well soon
