Honda NC700 Are In :)

I am sure that some of you are like.... "Whats the Honda NC700?" And for some of you im sure its what you have been waiting for! Its a 670cc bike that has a huge storage space where the cylinders and gas tank would be on a conventional bike, and we are building them right now at Brampton PowerSports. If you havent seen one yet they should be a sa and xa model built by tomorrow (July 13th).

Looks similar to the Duc Multistradda. If they had a larger displacement I would be interested in checking it out, but at 700cc I am just not interested.

Re: Honda NC700 Are In :)

really wanted one but they took to long to get them here so grabbed an FZ6 instead. maybe in a few years I'll grab an NC. love the cargo space. still curious to see how shifting and just general riding feels. I usually shift by 6k anyways on the 500 and now on the fz6 as well. pushing past 6 and you get the douchebike scream. LOOOOOOKAAATTTTMMMEEEEEEEE.

Re: Honda NC700 Are In :)

Honda should have really put the NC700 into the Honda Demo Days this summer if they really wanted to sell it. Maybe they got set back in production a bit or something but truly would have been logical. I did see it at the Winter Motorcycle Show and it did look pretty nice. I was actually impressed with the cargo space.

If I were you, I'd rather make sure I have demo bikes onthe floor first. People will not buy this kind of a new concept bike without a demo ride.

Do yourself a favor and get the NC bikes in the demo lineup first, worry about your live inventory later. I am surprised that they are not listed for your Aug 11 demo day ....

The demo bikes are from the HONDA Manufacturer not Brampton PowerSports, maybe you didnt know that. And we have already tried to inquire why Honda isnt bringing one for the demo day because your right, its the best why to help people figure out if they want to buy one, but theres only so much we can do. I am very interested to know if there is a dealer who is actually letting people demo their NC700. Yamaha had the same problem with not bringing their FZ8 to their demo days. Take care and safe riding.

Oakville Yamaha provided their own FZ8 for demo day.

We as consumers are used to this reply, which I do not blame you for personally, but the industry as a whole. It's mind boggling that you put something like CBR600 or 1000 in the lineup of which there are plenty of (therefore people know what they are buying before they come to your store) and are useless for this street demo type riding anyways. But on contrary a new concept bike which belongs on the street the demo will be taking place at, Honda decides not to bring .... let them know on my behalf that this decision is simply impossibly stupid and hopefully they will not be crying in the end how low numbers the bike generates.

For me personally it's simple, no demo ride, no purchase. I don't care what the magazines say or your sales people tell me, I need to ride the bike before I can consider how I spend my money.

As I said, I don't blame you personally, but the industry as a whole. Yeah, I know, you guys are a small industry in Canada to start with, but I am not millionare either ... :)

I don't think I could buy a bike (or any vehicle for that matter) without trying it out first...especially when I read that this one is a low revving model which has a very low red line for a bike? I'm no speeder but would def like to try it before I buy it. Need to be sure you're comfortable before committing that type of $ into a toy.

Because this bike is touted as so revolutionary and different, it should be demo'd.
This bike would be ideal for someone like me....and I like it. But there are a couple other 50hp bikes with good fuel range and cool styling and sound that I like as well. Hoping to test the 77X and Guzzi V7 this summer.
