Maybe a short spin for lunch. 10 days to operation then SOL til '25.
Maybe Kuranda for bratwurst.

Thanks ....at least there is very little out of pocket for the redo so far. We had some carry over credit from the the first round.
This is a known thing to me so none of the inevitable trepidation on the first go.
It's not a big deal and anyone that needs it should not delay.

Very odd wind direction straight out of the west - 31 feels like 34 but humidity is tolerable.

needless to say no riding.

Sturm und drang right now ...hope it clears the mung in the air.
Glad I'm not riding in that....pretty severe.

They killed the single Turkish with hash browns and I get a free latte.
I could buy the second deal and take second one home.

Nightmare stuff....sometimes Aus animals live up to their rep.
Tiger Snakes are one of the most venomous snakes in the world. Their fangs are usually 3.5 – 5 mm in length. They can move through water with ease. When they feel threatened, they raise themselves off the ground and flatten their heads and neck, almost like a cobra.

"It was actually inside the cab, under the dash. The poor lady, she was driving and it's come out from under her steering wheel, straight onto her lap and onto her leg," he said.
"I don't know how, but she managed to get the car off the road and onto the side, and she's called police straight away."

He said it wasn't unusual for a snake to slither into a vehicle.

"But I guess on the freeway it's definitely unusual, with all the traffic stopped and everyone holding their cameras up and filming me."

Just pissing down ....sturm und drang. Maybe tomorrow....sigh.

Got out for a quick spin to Kuranda. Hot out but no rain looming. Only 10% battery left but enjoying the Beagle audio book. Indecisive what to lunch on.
Decent burger at Suzies

definitely NOT going here.
Rather downsize the bike. He needs to travel lighter :giggle:

All bloody weekend ...rain showers sweeping through so no long ride.
Saturday I snuck out hoping I could dodge and picked up a larger tank bag brand new.
Noticed my Big Foot fell off but tried to race the oncoming rain back home ...all of 15 km - failed got soaked and realized I should really get the insert for the C3 helmet visor as with the humidity it fogs up like crazy - worse in the rain.
I had my hands full literally balancing the new bag so did not bother to pick up the big foot.
Gear is now just sort of dry days later..
It was on a dead end street so figured no one would disturb it and it was there when I went by today.
I had picked up a $53 all in shipped windscreen I was not certain about but the damn thing fit perfectly - took about 15 minutes to dismount the oem and put on the new screen. Grommets fit and it felt good on the short ride today.
Maybe longer ride at more speed tomorrow after my operation prep appointment ....weather permitting. 🤪
Looks good on the bike

really have to peel off that service sticker.

Came faster than I thought it would and fit perfectly. I'll see if it needs the laminar lip that was on the OEM screen.
I'd rather do without that tho they do work. I do want to put a rain-off coating on so the rain streams away.

I thought the larger tank bag would be plug and play but Nelson Rigg downsized the strap clips. I would have liked to be able to switch back and forth.
The smaller tank bag I am using now is waterproof .....while the large one is water resistant plus has a waterproof rain cover.

It is a clever design that allows both magnetic and strap on the same bag .....if I end up with an older bike I can use the magnetic attachment which I prefer.
Rather clever of NR to have a dual attachment bag and the magnets tuck completely out of site.

Bike felt good today - easy on and off and brakes fixed completely.
Still not thrilled with the clutch set up......another day.
