lmao, I crossed the Nullarbor back in 2003... the fakest thing about that cartoon is the absence of bugs!

Sitting on the Great Australian Bight looks peaceful and relaxing in that cartoon, but add gail force winds and MILLIONS of bugs everywhere (like in real life) and it's a different story!!!

Seriously - in some places while crossing the Nullarbor you'd step out of your vehicle and 5 seconds later you're COVERED in flies; I'm talking hundreds!
